Absolutely loved this hotel and all of the details! Staff were so friendly and everything was beautiful. Only downside is our room was right above the hall where a wedding was taking place and the bass was disturbing.

Love how you remodeled the hotel to make it feel modern while still keeping the historical look and feel. The decor is excellent. I was impressed with the details of the room . The lobby, bar and restaurant is a great and inviting hangout space.

The Holbrooke is very beautiful, the rooms are clean and the front desk staff are very friendly. The beds were comfortable. That's about the best of our stay. For the money (Over $300 a night) I would expect a minifridge in every room and some sort of circulation options. The rooms were quite stuffy and there was no fan or way to keep windows open. The windows don't have screens on them either. The only water available in rooms was tap. The "honor bar" (you order from off an ipad) has very few options for this type of establishment. The walls are paper thin, so be aware you will hear your neighbors and they will hear you. Lastly, the food for brunch was not good. The bacon was inedible and strange. The eggs were also strange. Though the fruit was presented nicely the apples had some kind of soap on them. The coffee was some of the worst I've ever had in my life, we couldn't even drink it. Had I known I never would have paid for the "brunch package". If you do stay I recommend eating elsewhere. It was cute, but for the price I would have expected a lot more. I live in the Bay Area where hotels that cost $300+ a night come with a lot of amenities & comforts.
PURCELL HOUSE - NO!!

This is a set of rooms in a 'Victorian' house across the parking lot from the main building, Holbrooke Hotel. This Victorian is old, small and has no charm or character. It has 2 thermostats, one for the lower floor and one for the upper floor. When we got there it was freezing so they turned the entire upper floor up and then it got super hot, all night long. It was definitely a waste of money.

Loved this trip. I love how nice and accommodating the staff was. From the front desk, bar and housekeeping, they were great. Even when I hurt my foot they were so sweet and helpful. The hotel is just beautiful and food, bar great but, staff is awesome.
