The Waggon Inn

Having stayed here previously and were well satisfied, on our return we were very disappointed. On arrival the room was very cold and they made no effort to warm it. On day 2 only the beds were remade Wash basin and shower not cleaned No new towels, soaking bath mat was left. Toiletries not replenished (empty ones just left on the floor as there was no shelf) Tissue box left empty Bedroom not hoovered Bin not emptied Refreshment box not topped up Milk pods out of date Lewis (the evening manager) was very helpful fulfilling our requests but at £95pn a night room only we would expect this to be done as a matter of course.

We stayed a couple of nights here whilst visiting family. The room was great, nicely equipped and comfortable - plentiful coffee and a lovely shower over the bath (though a grab bar would have been welcome). The staff were lovely and helpful and the bar downstairs was a lovely place for drinks and food.

Booked in for family of 5 - we was 30min late on a busy Saturday sunny day - they kept the table open for us (thank you very much for that) food and service was excellent - highly recommended, can get booked up at the weekend so would recommend to book days in advance

Absolutely superb breakfast, a high quality coffee served along side a Rump Steak and poached eggs, both perfectly cooked. The presentation is exceptional You definitely get what you pay for Highly recommended!

Stayed here for 1 night on 30th April 2018 cost me £80 for 1 night The too. (NO. 4) looked very nice on first inspection and gas the look of gsving recently been refurbished it was only when I got up in the morning that all the things wrong hit ne Where to start.. The shower first it was in the bath which isn't a problem the shower head was a rainfall and it had a handheld showerhead as well which wouldn't turn off that the cold water came out if and I got burnt from the rainfall one as only the hot came out of there So consequently the floor got flooded There was no bathmat so fortunately as there was only me I could use the second towel to stand on Then I could have been electrocuted as the wall sockets were hanging off the walls as they hadn't been screwed in properly Also there was a hole in the ceiling that had a tissue hanging out of it It did however have tea and coffee making facilities in the room which included some stale biscuits I live in London and could have paid the same price as this and been given a breakfast as well so not very good value for money Don't send anyone you love here until they have fixed these problems
