The reason my wife and I come back to this hotel is because it is near our children and grandchildren. The hotel is fine, but maintenance and services are subpar, think: need toilet Paper? Ask. Need a washcloth or second hand Towel? You have to ask. Our last visit was five nights. Each day we had to ask for coffee modules. Although there was a tissue dispenser, there weren't any tissues. We had t I ask. The toilet ran, and the room was not very clean. Admittedly, the daily rate was an affordable $98, sans taxes.
Wedding venue nice, maintenance and cleanliness leave something to be desired.

The first room we checked into, the pullout bed meant for my toddler, was being held together with zip ties and a skirt hanger. The cushions of the faux leather sofa were also torn. We found a bag of someone else’s garbage in our room. The staff was very accommodating and kind. They found us another room. The second room we were moved to smelled like someone had been smoking weed, even though it was a non-smoking room. I did not mention this because we had already moved. I opened the window and the smell dissipated quickly. Mostly the maintenance issues were the big drawback for me. When repairing something, find appropriate replacement parts. A hanger is not an appropriate or safe replacement part for a pullout bed. If the faux leather is ripped or torn, then replace the entire item. Definitely not the ritz, but otherwise fine. We stayed for a wedding and the wedding venue and the food were quite nice. I saw the complaints about how far the rooms are from the lobby, but that is fairly normal for hotels in Tarrytown. The Tarrytown estate house has the same sprawling layout. I probably wouldn’t stay here again unless major renovation takes place.

This hotel was probably nice a long time ago but now feels old and not super clean. My room was super dated, the bathroom was small and didn’t feel so pleasant. The hallways are endless and hard to navigate. I would not stay here again.
A tired facility in need of upgrading

The staff here were the best part of the stay. They were responsive to our needs, polite and accommodating. But facilities are shabby and uncomfortable. The room had discolored tiles in the bathtub/shower, peeling paint, and a worn duvet under the clean white cover. The card key system does not function and has been replaced by keyed locks that are only accessed by bending way over. The no smoking halls reeked of stale smoke. The lighting in the room was dim and difficult to access. The towels were still damp from the dryer. No washcloths. No hangers in the closet. A tiny bar of deodorant soap. The air was so stale my husband wore his mask to sleep which immediately helped his cough that only started when we arrived. Access from the check-in area was complicated but the clerk did not have a map or diagram to direct us.
Wonderful hotel and great staff.

The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and the cafe had great coffee. Wilma and Pam were extremely courteous and went out of her way to make sure I had a pleasant stay. I will make sure to stay there again next time I'm in town,
