Good location close to Coliseum

Very nice location, easy access to the Coliseum (IMHO still drive there & park, but if you're ok with a 20 min walk it's certainly walking distance if the weather is nice!). They've done a great job keeping up the property, hallways have some dated carpet & wallpaper - but our room seemed like it had been updated (not 'recent' but better than 20-year old carpet!). Everything was clean and the linens were GREAT - I wish I could buy some they were so nice, not what I expected at a 'regular' Holiday Inn location! Staff was great, handled the busy rush of those checking in before a concert really well. Overall I'd easily return here if in the GBO area!

This was a very nice hotel. The grounds are well kept, the lobby was very clean, and the front desk was very nice. We were allowed to check in early which was a huge help for a trip plans. We stayed two nights. The king room was very nice and clean. The pool area was very nice as well. We did not take the breakfast package. They had a small bar area that looked nice and was open. I would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Greensboro Coliseum for the ACC Tournament. Very close to the Coliseum and easy 15 minute walk. Very quiet hotel. Big rooms. Great staff. Hats off to GM Kevin for running a great hotel.
Comfy room...that's it

I recently booked 2 rooms here for 2 nights. I only stay at IHG hotels when I travel and I will not be back here mainly because of the lack of personality from the staff. When people travel, they want to feel good. People want to feel as though they are "home" even though they are away from home. A kind word goes a long way. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Kudos to the housekeeping staff. Restaurants are closed due to Covid, understandable; however, IHG is still selling breakfast packages even though breakfast is not an option. Hmmmmm. I worked out a remedy to the problem with the front desk staff. But, upon entering our room, there was a breakfast menu on our pillows in both rooms. Hmmmmm. We were staying in Greensboro for a few more days but opted to switch to a different IHG hotel. Overall, clean and comfy room, which is what really matters. If there is an event at the Coliseum, this location is perfect.

I was disappointed in this hotel. We had just stayed at a similar hotel in another city and booked here because the other experience was so good. The price is high for the condition of the hotel, which is older and in need of some remodeling and spruced up paint. The carpet is a dark brown and didn’t look very clean. The sheets and comforter were rumpled to the point I wondered if they had been slept on already. On booking, I missed that the room had no microwave and had to go to the lobby to heat up my supper. There was a coffee maker in the room so I thought my morning tea was covered but discovered it didn’t work. We chose the hotel for the central location and I guess that’s what we paid for. I don’t think I will be going back.
