Bathroom missing essentials leaving us to wonder about cleanliness.....
We were staying just one night and had checked in in the evening.. Check-in was a snap and Front desk was amiable. Room appeared clean on the surface but with items that we eventually found lacking, we were extremely careful with what we touched (in light of Covid ). It appeared housekeeping must have run out before finishing supplying the bathroom. Basic items that are normally abundant in any hotel room were not to be seen and had to be asked for at the desk. There was maybe an inch of toilet paper remaining on the stand and no other rolls in the room. Only bathroom linens were 2 bath towels and two hand towels..no floor or bathmat. There were no sealed paper cups in the bathroom for meds or teeth brushing. The next morning we noticed the coffee maker basket was 'cruddy'. Breakfast downstairs was a hard biscuit with cold cooked bacon and a slice of hardened American cheese. Wrapped in wax paper in a brown lunch bag, we brought it up to our room to heat in the microwave. When we saw how it was presented when we opened it we chose to not eat. On a high note, the bed was comfortable....we always bring our own pillowcases......linens on bed 'appeared' to be ok....but with what was going on in the bathroom....we were left to wonder....were they?
Disappointed
After arriving at our room and unpacking, we discovered that the room had not been cleaned. There was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door and a used coffee filter with grounds still in the coffee pot.
Excellent Hotel Manager
My wife and I have stayed at this lovely hotel many times. The rooms are great, especially the one bedroom suites. Staff is great, especially Tamarkus. I have to say I was most impressed with the hotel manager Nicole. We had a problem with housekeeping one day. And she went way above and beyond to not only solve it, but to take care of something for us that had nothing to do with the hotel. Very impressive person and a credit to the Marriott brand. You can't go wrong staying at this hotel. Thanks again Nicole !! Chris and Peggy Bella
Not the easiest to find
Construction in the area makes this hotel not the easiest to find, but we enjoyed our stay. I recommend a room on the front side because the hotel backs up to a freeway and rooms on the back side get some road noise. The basketball court is a nice touch. Staff were efficient and professional.
Family stay
We are so grateful to the staff at Residence Inn Greenville! We needed to be out of our house for renovations, and the staff made our 3 week stay feel like home. The hotel was always clean, and had so many extra perks. The location made it super easier to get just about anywhere we wanted to go. Highly recommended!
