Sports Club
Had a good afternoon stop at the bagtown exies - very modern club and huge spacious areas with the perfect outlook to the sports fields. A good drink stop on a hot summers day - a bit out of the way from the Main Street of town and a much quieter location but still worth the drop in.
Cannot fault
I enjoyed a 3 night stay recently and could not fault the accommodation or the very pleasant staff. Stayed in a renovated premium family room which suited us perfectly. Alf worked tirelessly to keep the pool sparkling after the dust storms and smoke and the ladies servicing our room were outstanding. I look forward to staying again.
Outstanding
Stayed overnight. Highlight was the modern rooms and how clean they were. Faultless presentation. Pool area was well kept. Blankets beds and ensuite nice and clean. Could not need more. Highly recommended
Pretty good overall
Started with a hiccup with our booking (confusion between Expedia and the motel apparently ) but the helpful lady at reception rearranged a few other bookings and found us a suitable room for our two night stay. The room (number 1) was a reasonable size with plenty of places to put our bags out of the way. Good size wall mounted TV, good shower and the aircon/heater worked well. Wife found the bed a bit hard, I thought it was ok. Had a bit of an issue with the pillows. There were plenty but all very thick. Wife prefers one thinner pillow and i usually have a couple of pillows. One was 2 low, but two was too high... it's a hard life LOL The place must be older than it looks because power points were a bit light on. Fortunately we travel with power boards and double adapters! Location wasn't bad. About 800 metres to a Coles and Woolies (two small plazas) Room was clean.
Another motel but a specific problem
It is clean, well located, reasonably priced so, overall, quite ok. But it really "gets me" when motels say they have wifi when the wifi is so pathetic it is practically or, much of the time literally, useless. The NBN has arrived here. I checked. But this place is either not connected or it is but the router is far, far away from room #7. I ran a speed test and it comes up at .2 of a meg per second. This is so useless and I therefore tethered to my Telstra phone which ran over 100 times faster at 21 meg per second. Before I book another motel in Griffith I'll phone up and ask them to run a speed test. I am not alone in needing to work while I am travelling.
