Pro: It is pretty well located, a few blocks south of the Metro. Restaurant on site was good and prices reasonable. Con: Mattress was like a stack of cardboard with a sheet over it. The property needs some maintenance. I was shown to room 202, which had an open rusty hole where the tub spout should have been. They moved me to 505, whose door is right on the elevator lobby. That's okay, unless other guests talk loudly. The staff were a bit sullen. As Arlo Guthrie's song goes, "This train's got the disappearing railroad blues."

The worst room I have ever stayed at !! The pictures on the this website or other do not show what the actual room looks like. The bathroom was the most disgusting thing I have seen in any hotel or motel. The shower had a sliding door and at the base of the rail was months of mold, mud, fungus, pooled water. I do not believe anyone has ever cleaned this bathroom. It was so bad my children begged me not to make them take a shower because of the condition the room was in. I do not think I have done any justice in describing how bad it was, being that a picture is worth a thousand words I will post pictures.

They didn't find my booking and didn't make any efforts to find it. Simply they left me waiting in the reception, until I ask for a solution and listen to: "no, we won't search it for you, solve it for yourself". I was in a foreign country, with no accsess to the internet, what could I do? No empathy, no helpfulness sense, terrible, it was a nightmare, don't recommend this hotel for anyone

Highly disappointed with Hotel Cervantes. I was not expecting anything fancy or 5 star service, but this hotel left lots to be desired. Pros: Price Central location Spacious public areas nicely decorated, comfortable & clean Cons: Unfriendly and unprofessional staff. They acted as if checking you in was a favor rather than their job. I had pre-paid & when I tried to check in they claimed not to find the reservation and insisted i repay. Poor manners and english skills The room I got on the 3rd floor was small, cramped, and had a moldy smell to it. The bed was small and not comfortable. Wi-Fi was poor and TV not working. No safe, safety lock or peep hole in room. I was not expecting anything fancy, but atleast a room where you can relax and have a good night sleep. Shower was moldy and water cold. The photos on their website are not accurate. Luckily it was not expensive and in the area you can find yourself nicer rooms with welcoming staff & good service for the same or lesser price than Hotel cervantes.
