Beware of this building

My family and I stayed for a week at this facility and the elevators were a nightmare! At one point the building had no working elevators for over 4 plus hours. This is unacceptable and a safety concern to only have two for the entire complex!
Unit 1909 is excellent. The building is awful.

We booked Unit 1909 through VRBO. It is beautifully decorated and well appointed. There is generous supply of dishes, cups, glasses, kitchen utensils. Few pots and pans though. Two cheap plastic mixing bowls. No pitcher. Nice coffee maker. The problem is that the building's design is woefully inadequate. The architect has clearly never stayed in a vacation property. The building is twenty stories tall. The first three stories are a parking garage. The third story has no turnaround area. The spaces are wide enough for a mid-sized car only. Drivers of minivans, full-size SUVs, or full-size trucks will have great difficulty finding a parking spot that allows them to open their doors wide enough to get out of the vehicle. Ground level parking spaces will accommodate larger vehicles, but there are precious few spaces. New owners are improving the property by adding elevators at each end of the building. However, the construction company has appropriated several ground level parking spaces, which means that there are even fewer spaces. There are currently two elevators. TWO. These elevators are in constant use. Often one of the elevators is out of operation, which means that there is ONE elevator servicing seventeen floors. I highly recommend that the building's owner alert guests that parking is limited. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE the building's owner to provide for overflow parking off site. Guests should be made aware that parking in the building is for smaller vehicles. Spaces should be marked for smaller vehicles. Spaces should be redistributed to allow for a few full-size vehicles in the building. Parking in the building is a disaster. I cannot emphasize this enough. Construction noise begins at 8 a.m. and continues all day. Guests should have been alerted to the construction project, notified that parking in the building does not accommodate full-size vehicles, and warned about minimal elevator function. Otherwise, guests should note that this building is on a busy section of a busy beach. Gulf Shores is wonderful for families and offers lots of activities, wonderful restaurants, and shopping. However, the streets cannot handle the traffic. Expect long delays at stop lights and bumper-to-bumper traffic at all times.
If you drive a smart car and like climbing stairs this is your place!

Currently staying at Seawind resort and the condo overall is pretty nice. With that being said the actual resort is a cluster ****. The parking spots appear to be designed around a car the size of a smart car. Tiny parking spots. Then the elevators....2 elevators for the entire place and only 1 has worked half the time we've stayed here. You'd be better taking the stairs up and down than waiting 30 min on the elevator to maybe show up. Find a better place to stay. You'll thank yourself later!
Seawind 1804 DO NOT STAY

Absolute disaster of a condo and terrible management by Meyer Vacation Rentals. I would neve work with them again. The balcony railing is loose first of all and it vibrated out of control the entire time we were there from the wind. You would think a place that deals with hurricanes could maybe install stronger balcony railings. It was so loud like trying to sleep under train tracks. Management company could not care less about it and did absolutely nothing to help. And inside the place is also a cheap dump. Outdated uncomfortable furniture, bad pans, bad utensils. Everything was just done as cheap as humanly possible. Pick any different building for a much better experience.
Sea Winds 1404 May 4th -11th

Beware of this complex. We arrived on May 4th thru May 10th. Was book thru the 11th but had enough and left one day early. First off the parking is atrocious. The size of the parking spaces are so small you are lucky to fit in them, let along if you can find one.Handicap parking is worse. Elevators (2) don’t work half the time. They have employees ridding in the Elevator, so if you get stuck they can call someone. Had to unload the dishwasher, as it was full. Ice maker would work but you could not dispense any water or ice. Part is suppose to be ordered by the note that was left for us. Furniture and mattress, are below par. You have to sleep in middle of beds so you won’t fall out. Air Conditioner quit working and had to have a electrician fix it.Had to rewire on roof of building. Meyer did reply quickly to the problems. There is a lot of construction going with re- roofing and painting all around the Condos. This is everywhere.
