OK, but you can do better
This hotel is ok. Room was alright but I did find a little bug in the bathroom. Their biggest problem is their staff at the front desk. Seemed like it was a problem for them to help their customers. My husband went down for breakfast (breakfast staff was out of town) so we had the option of donuts, yogurt and bananas. It was difficult for the staff to get off chair to give him a donut. The bananas and yogurt was self serve. No coffee was available. They said they were making some more coffee, it was 8:00 am. Surprised that masks were not required. No one wore a mask except us.
Racist front desk person
tried to stay overnight here with my family. The woman at the front desk (45ish and Caucasian) was extremely rude and racist. First, she insinuated that we could not afford to stay there. After speaking to each other in Spanish, she called the cops on us. In these times, companies should not allow discriminatory practices. Get with the times!
NOT THAT GOOD
The night staff at check in was Exceptional. I did not do anything but crawl into bed. Bed was comfortable and smelled fresh. To my surprise the next morning my tv remote would not turn on the small flat screen. Lucky for me there was an on and off switch on the tv. Once tv was on the remote changed channels and volume. Then went to get a shower and there was no water pressure. Yuk. When checking out was told by the clerk sorry for your inconvenience. No offers of s lower price or points since I was A Diamond Choice Member would have been a nice offer. Then the rude clerk offered another room to take a shower in as I was walking out of the lobby how unprofessional can you get. My room on the other was clean. Too bad this stay was not enjoyable and will be considering somewhere else to stay 83 plus to stay and not get a shower is unacceptable. Hopefully your adventure will be better than mine.😭
Perfect place to stay if passing through on Route 54
On a recent camping trip from Illinois to New Mexico in which I took Route 54 through Kansas and the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles, I stayed here twice--once on the way to NM, and once on the way back to IL. On both legs of the trip, the staff was efficient and exceptionally friendly, and the rooms were perfect (clean and quiet) for a weary traveler after a long day at the wheel. Highly recommended.
Clean, Quiet, Comfortable
We stayed here recently passing through town. The hotel was on limited staffing due to COVID-19 restrictions. Our room was clean and quiet. The staff was helpful and courteous and very conscientious about keeping distance and cleaning public areas. Our room was comfortable with mini fridge and microwave. Highly recommend this establishment.
