More about the hotel
Happy New Year
It’s a nice hotel. The staff is polite, professional and always ready to help the guests. Restaurant manager and all the waiters were on the top level. The food was delicious, especially for the New Year Eve. Congrats for the Chef and all other cooks 👨🍳. The rooms are good, clean and comfortable with perfect view. Thank you for that great memories. You are part of my wonderful adventure in Tunisia 🇹🇳 I will recommend you to all of my friends.
New Year Eve and Family trip
It’s was very nice holiday for us. The hotels team was very kind and polite with all of us, especially Mr. Huysein - manager of the restaurant. The hotel really doesn’t expect to a 5 stars European hotels and my suggestion for the others visitors- when you take decision to visit Tunisia - you don’t have to compere the 5 stars options between European and African hotels. You just have to enjoy the atmosphere, exotic and excellent service. I wish all of members of the hotels team health, smiles and many satisfied guests 🍀🥂🎁🎉🎄
Recommendation for your hotel
Excelent recommendation for your Hotel Golden Tulip. We spent in 2 lovely weeks. Atmosfere is given by People who work taking care of us. We'd like to thanks especially to:Faten, James and Mokhtar and Save. IT looks like they love this job and they did the best. Because of them, the time they gave us to talked and showed us more than they have to. Tunisie for us is more beautifull pleace to rest. We would like be back in your hotel.Congratulation!!!!! Maria and Iwona from Poland.
2 days holiday
I would rate this hotel 4 stars. Reception lobby area is beautiful. Rooms aren't 5 star old fashioned but spacious. Swimming pool outside is huge and nice but would need thorough cleaning or painting in the bottom. Staff in the reception very kind but in the peppino bar theres a rude worker. Unkind to kids especially. All inclusive meals are not 5 star. I felt ingredients are made cheaper like coffee and cereal cheapest tunisian brand. No fresh orange juice that you would expect from 5 star hotel. Covid 19 measures were taken into consideration well as all the personnel were masks and hand sanitizer available in many places. In buffet restaurant you cant take food on your own as they have glasses in front but the you show to the server who gives you. Overall 4 star hotel in my opinion.
80% AWFUL!
We had the worst stay ever at this hotel. This was our first visit to Tunisia in October last year and we have vowed to never return after being unable to return work for 2 weeks on arrival home because we were so ill! On arrival staff were pleasant and we were checked in with ease. The hotel has a grandeur about it which is lovely. We can’t fault our room at all, it was the best part! Lovely, clean, spacious however we had an ant infestation which didn’t seem to improve even after they fumed the room but never told us why.... that night we visited the bar for a bottle of water, to which a RUDE man handed us a bottle which later turned out to be tap water - probably part of why we were ill. However we never saw this waiter again, thankfully. Our first breakfast was our last out of a week, very little choice on the side of a normal continental or English breakfast. We opted for a boiled egg and when cracking it open it was RAW!! A waiter saw this, said nothing and even took the plates away with the raw egg and didn’t make a comment. Trying to get to certain popular parts of the buffet is an absolute joke - dog eat dog. You get pushed and shoved and on many occasions I saw people poking, prodding and picking up food and just putting it back! This should not happen. The snack bar was great with great staff, the crepes are a great idea too. However overrun with flies. Location with the beach is brilliant too. You would only get 2 types of cocktails regardless of what you ordered. The majority of the waiters at the Show Bar are great and too at the Snack Bar. There is no service around the pool side unless you catch them. The pool is massive but I wouldn’t say very clean, left a strange smell on your skin which I didn’t enjoy. There was little to no entertainment during the day but it sounded like the hotel next door was having a great time! We used the spa as they had a special offer which was quite good too, worth the money but not overly relaxing. Some others enjoyed the selection of foods on offer in the restaurant but after having a poor experience at breakfast I was trying to be careful with what I ate however it didn’t protect me or my partner from being very very ill. The evening entertainment is a shambles. They should really have more outside acts coming in! The best entertainment was a young female singer who sung a couple of evenings and she was fantastic, lovely sitting under the stars and listening to. I was pleased when the concierge had booked our transfer and couldn’t wait to get home however albeit in and out of the doctors surgery. Overall, although this hotel is beautiful our experience was not a good one and we would never return to this resort which is a real shame.
