Daisybank Cottage

Easy check in. We were kindly allowed to park up early before our check in. The owners gave some maps and local info etc which was v kind! The room was nice. Comfy bed. The breakfast was excellent. Served outside the room on a tray which was great! Fridge in the room was useful. Only slight issue we had:tiny mat by the door which was tricky to get muddy boots on/off without getting the lovely carpet dirty. No wardrobe which would have been useful. Huge shower but not very powerful. Overall, v pleased with our stay though and would recommend.

We stayed here on the last weekend before the 2nd COVID lockdown in 2020. There were a lot of measures in place to ensure that our stay was safe. I didn’t actually see the owners as my husband checked us in and all transactions were done by text/phone or by leaving things in a bag hanging on the door for them to collect. Entrance to our room was directly through an outside door. The room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was amazing and was left on a tray outside the inner door to the room so there was no contact. It was a fantastic mini break.

Just returned from a wonderful 3 nights at Daisy Bank Cottage. The measures taken during the current pandemic ensured we felt extremely safe. We stayed in the Courtyard Suite which has its own entrance and its own courtyard with a patio heater - the perfect place for eating the delicious home cooked breakfast delivered to your door under a cloche. Thank you to Kelly for sorting out our Netflix woes! Great app too which serves as a complete guide to the area. Nothing was too much trouble from the wonderful hosts of Daisy Bank. Hopefully we will be back.

Our second visit to Daisybank, so we know what excellent and friendly service Ciaran and Cheryl offer in more "normal" times. Under strict Covid safety guidelines, it is clearly so difficult for them to extend their usual face to face hospitality and yet they did their very best to ensure our stay was comfortable and welcoming. We stayed, again, in the Daisy Suite, which is a very spacious room at the front of the house. It has an enormous bathroom which we love. Everything was spotless and due to a clever pre-order, before arrival, we had everything we needed. Breakfast is usually taken in a delightful room overlooking the garden. 2020 breakfast is delivered, at a requested time, to your bedroom, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Under these strange times, Ciaran and Cheryl have pulled out all the stops to keep their business going and to provide their guests with a comfortable and safe stay - well done guys! Hopefully we will see you again when life returns to some normality.

Stayed three nights a chance to see new forest and surrounding areas .very enjoyable stay spacious clean great room Brightiff Best breakfast choice of any B and B we’ve stayed at .would recommend to others and hope to come back at some time
