Full of imperial peacock
Wow! That was wonderful! I woke up with peacock songs. I sow 7 of them on a tree. It was a unique experience for me. Hotel was good. Although it was in country side it has some electric shuttles for transporting to city center.
Comfortable rooms
The room was clean, spacious and bright with an amazing view of the Thousand Islet Lake. It was good that wifi was rather strong in the hotel room. Service was prompt when we called housekeeping to request for more towels. Staff knew basic English but it was more convenient to converse in Chinese (I didn't want any miscommunication). Breakfast was average, with more Chinese fare than Western food. It would be better if there were more variety available. A plus point would be that the hotel is very close to the lake, and there are many places in the vicinity for guests to explore.
Hangzhou-area hotel review
Spent 5 nights at this hotel recently, just prior to Chinese Labor Day holiday. Not Western-friendly from English speaking perspective, but hotel staff seemed courteous during my visit. Hotel was very clean, rooms were very clean, well laid out, and either lake-facing, or mountain valley-facing. Friday and Saturday nights are typically sold-out nights for this property due to it's proximity to a heavily traveled tourist area and lake views. Breakfast buffet on 6th floor, decent selection of breads, fruit, eggs, juices and coffee to meet Western palates. Be sure to snag a table on the wooden deck outside the breakfast room, for a superb view of the local lake! There is a Holiday Inn hotel next door, with much higher room rates. The low room rates for this New Century Hotel translate into real value for foreign visitors!

湖景房，风景还算不错，前台人员挺热情，早餐品种也还可以，挺多的，前台有借自行车骑行，双人80，单人60，但是可惜的是车子很少，而且比较旧了，小毛病比较多
出乎意料的酒店
和另一家所谓“五星酒店”相比真是物超所值。不论是停车场还是前台的员工都特别有礼貌。房间宽敞，设施完备，光线也很足，对面是一个小湖。早餐选择够多，可以在露台上吃。走五六分钟就有很多餐馆。总之是一家性价比极高的酒店。
