Hotel Le Mandelberg

We were there only for one night but we enjoyed it very much. The hotel room is clean, spacious and has a balcony. The shower is great. We switched off the airco system to have a quiet night. Not every hotel offers that possibility. Due to the Corona rules the hotel arranged a reservation for us to have diner at a nice restaurant nearby. I would rate this a four star hotel and recommend it highly.

This hotel is much better than similar hotels in the region. The rooms are clean, the environment is very cosy, we had a beautiful sight for the vineyard through our window. The hotel is also close to cities like Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr, which makes it a nice option logisticwise.

This is an ideal location for exploring the Alsace wine route. There is so much to see and do. There is something for everybody in this area - wine tasting, walking, plenty of restaurants to choose from and only a few miles from the Rhine and the German border. The local wines are extremely good and can try before you buy at most caves. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The balcony was a bonus for watching the storks on their nest and generally watching the world go by with a glass of wine. Really nice to have a kettle and tea/coffee facilities. Plenty of hot water for the shower/bath and the bathroom was immaculate. Breakfast was more than adequate and everything looked and tasted so fresh. Would highly recommend this hotel and we hope to go back soon as there is more to see and do. The nearby towns of Riquewihr, Ribeauville and Kayersberg are all worthy of a visit along with several others in the region. You hardly need to drive far at all. There are also two military cemeteries close by which are also worthy of a look along with castles and chateaus.

A great place to base yourself for the Alsace wine route as it is bang in the middle and you can explore in either direction and it’s not far back to your base. The hotel itself was extremely welcoming and exceptionally clean. Our room had a balcony and we had a view to the church where the storks were nesting and it was lovely to watch them with their young. The storks also flew down to the car park and were delightful to see close up. The bed was very comfortable. We had TV, kettle and coffee/tea, the bathroom was nicely decorated and everything was spotless. It was great to have a bar at the hotel and a terrace to sit outside on a warm evening. The car parking was good and plenty of space available. The breakfast selection was good and the coffee was delicious. Fabian and Leo were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel. There is a sauna and steam room but we didn’t use these during our stay.

A nice looking place both the outside and inside. Our room was quiet, clean and spacious with a minibar and views over the vineyards. The shower only bathroom was large and well designed. The bed was extremely comfortable. The free Wifi worked well in the room. You could enjoy a drink on your balcony or on the terrace on the ground floor. Self parking was easy right outside the hotel . Mittelwihr is a pretty village and a good place to explore the surrounding area. I did not have the breakfast. The hotel was good value and had air conditioning which was welcomed in the steamy weather. Alsace is a lovely area to visit. Would recommend.
