Buena calidad-precio. Lo recomiendo. Nuestra habitación era la cuádruple en la última planta, con unas vistas sobre la Catedral espectaculares. Parecía un cuadro pintado más que una ventana. El desayuno un poco recalentado. No lo recordaré.

Lovely restful week!

Opinión escrita el 29 de septiembre de 2021

Jo is a delightful host and her dining room staff are all equally delightful! Breakfast was good and I gather the bacon was delicious! Our room at the back of the house on the garden level was spacious and plenty of drawer space for clothes. usual paucity of hangers in the wall cupboard but we always bring a few with us anyway! The bed was VERY firm which suited one of us rather more than the other! The lovely view towards the coast was a compensation. I do think that it is about time the towels were renewed, we found them very thin and as there is no heating in the bathroom, they stayed damp. Pity the garden is out of bounds but can understand the extra work involved having to clean garden chairs. Overall, an excellent town centre B&B but in high summer, parking may be a problem.

Weekend break

Opinión escrita el 29 de agosto de 2021

Lovely little b and b clean and breakfast was lovely Worth what we paid it was a pleasure to stay I have given 3 stars only as I feel like most b and b we have stayed in could do with a bit of new decor and refurbishment. I know in these current times having work Don's can be hard. Thankyou for making us feel welcome Nicola and Steve from Cardiff

Not as described, not recommended

Positives - clean and breakfast was good. The rest - hard to know where to start. On arrival we had to pay in advance (not the case for all guests as we later discovered). We had to say what we wanted for breakfast on check-in - breakfast was served over just a half hour period. We enquired regarding the promised high speed internet and we're almost laughingly told that it probably wouldn't work (an issue as I need internet for work). We were given a key and a linen bag and were told (not asked), to strip the bed the next day and to put bedding and towels in the bag. Apparently, the rule in Wales. The room. We had booked (via hotels.com), a room for three people - including a queen and a single bed, WiFi and shower/bathtub combination in en-suite. Website description included photos. The reality was awful. Not the room described or pictured. It was an attic room. A strange shape, with beds at right angles. The TV, positioned high on the wall was the smallest I have seen in recent years - unusable as no binoculars were provided. The bathroom was a collection of horrors. A toilet that leaked from the bottom and had a wooden seat. A bath set under the eaves, with a tap, shower head mixer (reminded me of the rubber shower heads of the 1970s). Towels were tatty and tiny. Unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Bedroom furniture was retro, but not in a good way. One bed was a double, not a queen. Perhaps not surprisingly, we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay. We hadn't. Scored a two as it was clean and breakfast was good.

Glendower B&B

Opinión escrita el 6 de julio de 2021

We normally try and stay in hotels now but tried a couple of B&Bs on this trip around Wales and this one was fine and reasonably priced. No car park but free parking down the narrow road next door but one (Entrance to the Cathedral). Limited spaces but we were lucky to get one but a larger car park not too far. Our room was on the top floor with a double and single bed for 2 of us so not bad space.Great view over the cathedral. As an attic room there was a sloping roof over the bath so no shower. 2 flights of narrow stairs. The room was bright and airy and very clean if a bit dated. Safe Covid precautions too. Everyone was friendly and there was a great cooked breakfast with just enough choice. Would stay here again. The Bishops pub has good real ale and serves great pub food at very reasonable prices and the Farmers Arms is great for a pint afterwards.
