Shady quiet room off the main road
We stayed at "Wolfie 4", a duplex on Kilauea Rd, 2 blocks from the main road to Volcano NP. The room had a sitting room and separate bedroom and bath. It was clean and nicely appointed and came with refrigerator and TV and free WIFI. You check in at the Ace Hardware nearby. Each day a fruit and snack basket appeared in the room.
Better value for a party of 6+, but only one bathroom
Excellent location for visiting Volcano National Park, in a very quiet location. Beds not so comfortable and somehow overpriced. Not very clear instructions online for check in procedure. We were in February and it was a bit cold even we turned on the gas fireplace. We run out of hot water after the third shower in a row.
