A bit disappointing

We were disappointed to discover Het Oosten Hotel was actually well away from the centre and was in fact smack bang in the middle of an industrial centre. The bedroom was very nice, newly refurbished. We had breakfast, but it was very basic and minimum variety on offer

Very Confused Restaurant/Hotel

While the Hotel het Oosten was clean and felt safe, it was actually a Chinese Restaurant that had some rooms above it. The whole hotel smelled like fried food and the sheets were actually quite old and were frayed in spots. The breakfast was terribly confusing, they had cereal but no milk. The meats were nice but the cheese was dry on the edges so you could tell it was old, and the breads were stale. They actually ran out of stuff the first day and we didn't have a lot to eat but the second day, while the cheese and bread was still an issue, there was plenty of it. We had dinner at the Restaurant/Hotel on our last night. It was a buffet style dinner but was spread out to three different rooms and, was once again, very confusing. The food was tasty but with all the confusion and the price of the meal, it wasn't something I would do again.

Very comfortable hotel

I was responsible for a group booking for 9 people at this hotel. I didn't read the reviews on here until I'd already booked so wasn't sure what to expect on arrival. I am pleased to say that the whole group were happy with our 3 night stay there. Some of the staff spoke limited English but all were friendly and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable, rooms spacious and clean, bathrooms the same with plenty of towels. Not a very good supply of in-room toiletries and limited tea/coffee making facilities, though a fresh bottle of water was delivered each day. Breakfast was a sufficient continental buffet, not fantastic but adequate. I didn't have an evening meal there, but the rest of my group did and had no complaints. Booking was dealt with very efficiently.

Excellent Food and a quiet hotel

Stayed here for 3 nights. The name of the hotel mean 'Eastern' and it lives up to it's name. The restaurant in the evening is wonderful and is well known to the residents of nearby Boskoop for it good food. It is a Chinese eat as much as you can. You choose the ingredients they wok it or grill it while you wait! As for the room, it was large, bright (huge windows) and clean with the usual stuff (shampoo, soap etc). They even supplied a pair of slippers. What was missing was a mini bar (I usual store a bottle of water in it) and a proper shower. The room had a bath but the shower head was mounted far too low and you couldn't stand underneath it. Also the cleaning staff were rather eager and everyday removed without replacing something else that I could have done with. First it was a bar of soap, next a towel then the final bar of soap. By the last day I only had 1 hand towl and no soap at all!!

Hotel dicht bij business relatie, dus handig. Kwaliteit hotel kamers +/-. Eerst door Receptie naar een niet gerede kamer gestuurd. Daarna kamer nabij de doorgaande verkeersweg, niet zo goed geslapen dus. Ontbijt was inclusief maar werd niet in de ochtend geserveerd.......pakketje avond ervoor om 21.00 bezorgd. Restaurant Chinese keuken & more, goede optie voor dinner; wel alleen all-in prijs, 2 gebruiksuren a 31 Euro optie.
