The room itself looked good but obviously smelled like smoke, the sink water was brown, and the bathroom walls and ceiling were stained and discolored. There was what looked like a cigarette burn hole in one of the comforters. Not enough towels nor enough pillows were provided. Something about the place gave a creepy feeling.

There are more cigarette butts than leaves in the parking lot. Our sheets were not clean. The bathroom door doesn’t close all the way. The night stand lamps had a sticky dried liquid on them. The head board had hand prints on them from you know what..... The room needs to be cleaned better. Will not stay again.

We have been coming to Helen every Christmas season for almost 10 years . We had not tried this place and was pleasantly surprised. Very clean , great price and location. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely would recommend.

Room I asked for was non smoking. They claimed it was it smelled like an ash tray. Room appeared to be clean but was the smell from smoke even in the pillows on the bed. No cable TV, No breakfast, tub dripped all night, Pool was closed. Walls very thin you could hear neighbors all night just talking and showering. Never stay there again. Wife mad because he smell was so bad.

Front desk manager was friendly but upper management was horrible and even cursed at us when we called with complaint about the smell. The room was supposed to be non smoking / non pet friendly. However when we opened the door to the room the smell made me sick. There was a cigarette burn on the bed comforter. The room had a very strong odor of dog and cigarette smoke. We actually walked next door and paid another $185 for a new room so we had a clean room to sleep in that night.
