Poor service and old hotel

This is a very old hotel. There is no elevator and the rooms are dated. The walls seemed very thin and we could hear everyone in the hallways talking, this is a dog friendly hotel and the barking carried a long way down the hallways. The internet wasn’t working and the employee couldn’t figure out how to fix it. A call was placed to the manager but they did not answer so it took almost an hour for a return call. The breakfast was very poor and the pancake machine was not working so options were limited.

Awesome hotel

Very clean and comfortable. It was very busy with Canadians returning to Canada but Sue and the staff were very accommodating and efficient at getting us taken care of. Stay was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. This will be our go to place to stay in the future when travelling through Great Falls.

I realize this was on the lower financial end and expected to get what I paid for. I stayed in Room 111, the bathroom ceiling was full of mold along the walls/ceiling. I did not expect mold in the price. Even the hairdryer plug had months of gunk on top of the plug in. The headboard had some white smear across it. I’m HOPING it was cleaning stuff. It smelt like a nail salon when we walked in to the front desk. That’s because on one of the lobby tables there was a plate of fake fingernails and a movie playing on a tablet but nobody at the table. I am assuming it was the staff interrupted by guests.

Hotel was fine parking lot was bad. Not made for pickups if any size. Horrible entrance. Staff was great. Did not try the pool or food. Coffee was good but we are coffee snobs and prefer darker and richer blends than Folgers.

Maintenance and cleaning staff are the best in efforts and results. Remodel of the entrance is a great upgrade. Appearance, amenities and staff created the best value to cost outcome for the Helena area.
