Modern, Convenient, Clean
After staying at a nearby tired old casino hotel, we are so relieved to be staying at SpringHill Suites! Wifi works and is fast. Rooms are clean with all amenities you expect. 3 pillows per queen bed. A real desk you can actually work at, a sofa and chez lounge to relax on, tv that you can control from your mobile phone, a window you can open to get fresh air, it's such a relief to come here to relax, unwind, and even get some work done. I won't have time to use the amenities outside of the rooms, but they all look great and guests don't have to pay a resort or administration fee.
Not so conviennent
We were excited for an indoor pool to let the kids unwind. Checked the website and saw nothing about it being closed. Arrived to find that it was closed but we could use the outdoor pool at the neighboring hotel. Specifically booked this hotel due to the indoor pool and had a very disappointed 3 year old. We arrived after 4, only outside swim time was for right then and there and we had dinner reservations for 5pm outdoor pool closed at 7pm. Why not take reservations for indoor pool? Or post its closed online so people know. Come to the room.. find a tall stand pushed up against the dresser.. come to find out the dresser drawers won't stay closed without it. The dresser isn't secured to the wall either. Tried calling front desk multiple times as its a major safety hazard with a 3 year old but thankfully she knows better than to climb because no one answered. Go to get showers done after dinner and there's only 2 towels for 4 guests. Once again try calling front desk no answer. I called from my cell phone got put on hold. Mind you we tried over the course of 10 minutes. Finally got an answer and was told her husband was washing towels and we'd get them later.. umm it's 730pm what does later mean? Actually got towels at 8pm! Seriously how does a hotel not have towels for it's guests though? Very disappointed.. don't waste your time because this hotel is not accomodating like they strive to be. Why have a phone to call front desk and they don't answer? *Overnight loud music playing people banging on doors for long periods sounded like party central. Thankfully the kids slept through it but had to keep TV on all night. Not a quiet comfy hotel :-(
New and well maintained
They are just a block away from the highway and main road yet situated at a quiet and safe neighborhood. The place is new, modern and well maintained. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. There are many good restaurants and shopping within a few miles, too. If you are on family vacation or business in the area but want to avoid the downtown Vegas, this is the place to be.
No water or coffee
This is an ok hotel. The rooms are good (and quiet). The internet is fast. However, they do not have water or coffee. There is no place to fill up your water in their hotel. They don’t have a water fountain, nor do they have a place to fill up a bottle, such as in the lobby or the fitness center. Their sinks are too small to get your bottle under. The only option for water is purchasing water from them. Also, they don’t give you coffee. To get coffee you have to go buy coffee from the gas station or Starbucks down the street (because it’s safe there). I stayed in a SpringHill in Kentucky a few weeks ago, they safely had coffee. Also, you could go just down the street and stay at the Courtyard near Henderson, and they’ll happily sell you coffee. A lot of things this hotel did felt more like a money grab than a safety issue. Especially considering this more so than most hotels in the country. I would just avoid this place for a while.
Staff was the shining star
I arrived late in the evening and was greeted with a warm smile and a pleasant attitude. The COVID precautions were done properly and a few of the options I would normally enjoy weren’t available but I understand. The room was very clean, but appears to have had some weird modifications that don’t flow correctly. The location is very convenient and for the price, I don’t know if you can get a better deal.
