Best place to stay

Reviewed 20 september, 2022

After Easyjet cancelled our flight, we stayed her overnight and adored it. When we arrived we were treated like royalty by the uber friendly receptionist, nothing was too much trouble. The room was out of this world, the bed was really comfortable and the shower i didnt want to get out of! Food was amazing and the attention to detail was second to none. Staff in restaurant was awesome. Best place to stay in Heraklion if not Crete.... Right in centre so near everything you need.

Busy street bad smell

Reviewed 3 september, 2022

The suites looked really pretty online but felt very cramped inside. They smelled like mildew and the street was very loud and busy. There was techno blaring all night, and I could not sleep. The sheets were scratchy. In short it felt like student accommodation not anywhere near five stars

THIS is the number one place to stay in Heraklion

Reviewed 31 august, 2022

I stayed one night at Megaron (it was ranked number 1 on trip advisor) and it was ok, clean with a great breakfast, but the room wasn’t to my taste, and I hate a room with a shower in bathtub you have to climb up into… I’d only booked one night so looked online after arrival and found Legacy Gastro Suites. I loved it. I booked a K suite, there are 3 room types on each floor (it’s a small boutique hotel, 12 rooms total I think). The K suite has a bookcase over the bed filled with books and makes you feel very comfortable. Fabulous multi shower head shower. Super clean and great staff. Welcome drink on arrival, a HUGE breakfast included, though they make you select your breakfast the night before and the time you will go to eat, I’m not sure why? The downside is parking is not easy at this hotel, but if you are arriving by taxi, great. It’s close to the cutest part of town with great restaurants too, we loved the jungle room rooftop at Ntore one block away. Whenever I return I will for sure stay here again.

Perfect - with attention for the smallest details

Reviewed 16 august, 2022

A boutique hotel as a boutique hotel should be: incredibly friendly service, and attention for all including the tiniest details. Suites were very well equipped and each one decorated in a particular way. Very modern and clean but with so much taste. A very comfortable lounge with business area on the second floor, a good restaurant with an excellent menu and a great cental location. If I were to come back, I would not look any further than this one.

Wonderful hidden gem

Reviewed 30 july, 2022

What an absolute hidden gem right in the centre of Heraklion. The hotel itself is stunning in its own right- the interiors are so well designed, both public areas and rooms and the staff service is incredible. Each suite faces the ocean - we had sea views even from the first floor. The rooms were immaculate and the well stocked fridges with local meats, cheeses and wines to purchase was a lovely touch. There is a beautiful restaurant for all day dining and cocktails on an evening. We had breakfast and would definitely recommend - cajun eggs followed by yogurt with walnuts and local honey were an absolute treat. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walk if you choose not to eat at the hotel. Unfortunately we only stayed one night but would re-book in a heartbeat when we return to heraklion (you could easily base yourself here for a few days exploring the city). Special thanks to all of the staff who were absolutely brilliant and made us feel very welcome!
