Dinner at the three Tuns
Monday night so quiet and we ate in the bar so that Max, our dog, could join us. Despite a quiet night the service was reasonably prompt and very pleasant. The menu was a surprise, innovative and varied for a small-village pub. The food though was the best surprise. Well cooked, fresh, hot and plentiful. The wine list far more extensive than I expected. A good range of Cask-marque real ales. A most pleasant experience. Outstanding food and service for such a quiet night in the middle of winter.
Myself and partner stayed at this hotel in May of this year when visiting Royston for an event. What a beautiful stay, although it was a little further out than we realised I'm so please we went ahead and booked this hotel. Some people may have a few issues with the access to room as the stairs are rather narrow and steep. But our bedroom was stunning a little on the small size but was fine for us, such a comfortable bed. Bathroom was a good size as well with a powerful shower. Loved the attention to deal with the furnishings. We did not eat here in the evening (which i was hoping too) however breakfast... OH MY! What a delight!! Service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The produce used was so tasty and again the bar and restaurant was beautifully decorated. We would defiantly recommend to others. We are hoping to return in the future to try the evening menu too! Thank you for a lovely stay once again!
Dinner ot the Three Tuns
Had a really good meal. I chose to have two starters rather than a starter and mail, both the starters were excellent. Service was great and attentive. This is the third time I have been there recently and ever time it has been to the same high standard.
A trip down memory lane.
Stayed the night, had dinner and breakfast and both were superb. Fantastic atmosphere, decor, furnishings etc etc. I was born in the village and hadn't been back since 1968. The three tuns was my late dad's local in the 50's and 60's and the staff were genuinely interested in my background and showed them very ancient photos of the premises. Our visit was brilliant service great and a lovely place to stay. Rooms very clean and tidy decor and furnishings lovely, and food superb. Husband said his steak was the most tender and tasty he had ever eaten. Wel done the "Three Tuns"
The true understanding of hospitality. Food, hotel room were very good but most of all, that’s all the staff were very keen to please. Check in was very easy from the moment we arrived was positive. We had a delightful stay.
