Wonderful room/apartment

Reviewed 13 september, 2018

I had one of the apartments on the top floor and it was an amazing room. Very big, clean and cozy. Because it is on the top floor you see the roof structure. This gives a nice look. The only thing which was not that good for me was the breakfast. I always eat granola, muesli or cruesli in the morning and the choice was very limited here. Especially if you compare it to other hotels that I have stayed in in Germany.

Comfortable

Suites are actually more as flat including kitchenette. Flats are clean and nicely furnished. Bar at the entrance is self service. Fine but this also brings noise as no employee is present to moderate people. Note that some flats (above number 15) are located at last stair of another building Breakfast is good even

Helpful Staff

Even just through the eMail exchanges, I found the reservation staff helpful, efficient, and accommodating. We had to search around for hotels, because the Hanover Messe Industrial fair was soOOO booked, but were happy to find this location.

Good points, and less good ones

Reviewed 8 november, 2009

Based on my room (and the comments of my fellow-travellers) for a 3-night stay: **The good points** -- Suites are large and comfortable -- Bathrooms are spotlessly clean and modern -- Breakfast is varied and good (cold meats, smoked salmon, cereal, fruit, fresh breads, etc), and the eggs are cooked to order (the fried eggs were perfect!) -- The staff are very friendly, helpful, and speak perfect English (they even unexpectedly provided a free snack lunch and coffee on the day of our departure while we waited for out taxi to the airport!) -- The area is quiet; about 10-15 minutes' walk from the centre of town **The less good points** -- The reception is not staffed after 6pm, and the person who was supposed to be "on call" did not answer his phone, so one of my fellow travellers who arrived before me at 7pm had to wait outside the hotel in the cold for nearly an hour, then he and I waited inside for another hour after someone let us in, before someone came to let us into our rooms. Therefore, MAKE SURE THEY KNOW WHEN YOU ARE ARRIVING! -- My bedroom did not have curtains or proper blinds, just a transparent thing that did not keep the light out: for a light sleeper like me, this is a problem (I had to wear an eye-mask) -- Floors are not carpeted, so you can hear other occupants moving around at night (I wore ear-plugs) -- The TV is small, with no English-speaking channels except maybe a financial one -- There was no computer available for internet access -- The coffee, milk, and orange-juice were not as good as I would expect from such an opulent establishment (not bad, but not good either)

The little gem in Hildersheim

Reviewed 22 may, 2009

When we drove to this hotel we all became a little worried due to the graffiti and the look of the area. From the outside of the Hotel it look good and once inside we initially were dissappointed that no lift was available to take you to the first floor reception area. Once we were shown our room we were all very impressed and the owner and her daughter made us all feel very welcomed. The rooms are large, clean, well appointed. The bathrooms are also large, immaculate and equiped with quality fittings. The breakfasts were included and overlooked the courtyard which was pretty. The staff were all friendly and spoke good English. Your eggs were made to order and were done to perfection. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would certainly stay again. Although it is not in the old town access is not too far or difficult.
