Very nice staff. No complaints whatsoever about the staff. Hotel itself is under major renovation in many rooms. Wasn’t warned by BW so we may have the option of staying elsewhere. Non smoking policy not enforced.Room next to us smoking in their room crept into ours as these were adjoining rooms. We checked out a day early due to this and noise.

Leadership starts at the top. At Best Western Ocean Breeze, Lisa, the General Manager sets a tone of disrespecting customers and using confrontation and escalation to address simple inquiries. Instead of providing any level of customer service, she instigated a conflict and was rude and disrespectful. I approached the front desk to inquire about the room since it did not look like the lovely website photos. I thought there must be a newer, renovated section of the hotel rather than the room where we were staying. Although she acknowledged my presence, she made me wait quite awhile while she typed an email. When I finally asked if I should return later, she continued typing for a few minutes before giving me her attention. She clearly did not want to listen to my observations of the room appearance, challenged my perspective and escalated to a nasty tone. She was unable and/or unwilling to advise me how to turn off the fan. Instead, she accused me that I would be responsible for ruining the hotel a/c system if I did not allow a maintenance man to inspect the a/c, which was working fine. (No staff member was wearing a mask and I did not want them in my room.) She threatened me that I should leave the property and that she was cancelling the rest of my reservation. I felt very uncomfortable when she felt compelled to tell me I was being videotaped. The Do Not Disturb sign we put on the door did not stop housekeeping from entering our room when we were out. Then, they completely removed the sign from our room. I did not feel safe or welcome in this hotel. I have travelled extensively around the world and in the US, for business and pleasure, and can confidently state that Best Western Ocean Breeze represents the worst hotel experience of my travels. Take a look at TripAdvisor reviews (I wish I had done so before booking). Many customer complaints followed by manager's hollow apologies lacking any corrective action or genuine concern. I'll expect a similarly empty response to my review. (As expected, she replied to another review by falsely claiming that my husband apologized for my "attacks" on her, which never occurred and my husband certainly did not apologize.) Shameful behavior for a manager!

Do not waste your money. The general manager Lisa is rude and non welcoming. There was mold in the room that we took pictures and showed her when we were leaving! She could care less and was non apologetic. I will NEVER stay there again.

One of the the worst Hotel experiences that I have had in 64 years of life on this planet which includes hundreds of motel/Hotel stays around the country. We were greeted rudely upon arrival and the clerk became confrontational with my wife and then gave us only one key. The room smelled terrible and then we noticed mold below the sink, behind the toilet and in the shower which was falling apart and had very little water pressure. The rest of the room was adequate with a nice bed, TV and kitchen area. I took photos of the mold and problem areas. I was treated very rudely by Lisa, the General Manager, when I mentioned the mold and showed her the photos upon checkout . She became irate that I had the audacity to do that after we cancelled the second night 72 hours in advance which was allowed according to Best Western rules. Anyway, there was no chance we would have Stayed there a second night even if it was free. Lisa, the General Manager, has no people skills and would be better suited working as a prison guard at a Super Max institution. She tried to explain that the Hotel was under renovation and I then commented “ why did you not put us in a renovated room instead of this health hazard, don’t you inspect and clean your rooms ? That really set her off and she became extremely rude. Oh well, now to notify Best Western corporate and the county health department

Representative made my check in go very smoothly. Room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. My bed was comfortable and I had a very restful sleep. I hadn’t stayed in a best western for many years. I will definitely start planning on staying in Best Western hotels for further travels👍🏼
