Oceanfront & Great Staff

Reviewed 7 november, 2021

The staff at this hotel made this a great experience, they couldn't have been more polite and helpful. It is tucked away in a gated heavily treed area right on the oceanfront. A hotel armband and dash pass was necessary to access this area. An almost flat sandy firm beach out the back door made walking easy although it was cool and windy. The food was very good and the service excellent. We were told the island will not allow a cellphone tower so cell phone and internet service was hit or miss, for us, mostly miss. We had a minor issue with the light/fan controller but the engineer was there in an flash and quickly fixed it. Our room was clean with microwave, coffee pot, glasses and utensils. It had a small patio with two chairs but unfortunately it faced the parking lot....convenient for on and off loading. Except for the cellphone/internet issue it was a good experience.

Upscale resort

We stayed here for a 4 night stay. The amenities and the service were excellent. We had a problem with our bed , and it was quickly taken care of and corrected. They also have washer and dryers if you need to wash clothes while you are here. You have access to three pools and a private beach. It is not the cheapest hotel in Hilton Head by far, but a very nice place to stay. They also have several restaurants here on the property. We ate at 2 of them and loved them.

Average Beachfront Hotel

The hotel and resort was not much to write about but the ocean views and beach gives it the extra star. The staff is helpful, the rooms were clean and there is plenty to do within the resort as well if you want to stay in.

Wonderful family trip

Reviewed 25 october, 2021

My husband and I took our 3 year old and husband’s mom for a 5 day trip to Omni HH. Had two rooms. One suite one regular. Beds were super comfortable. Clean and newer kitchenette. Huge balconies. Rooms will be due for some minor upgrades soon but nothing major. It’s a beach resort! I loved the open air hallways due to covid. We didn’t have to go anywhere indoors the entire trip. Many reviews mention noise. We had a sound machine going for my son so I slept like a baby. You cannot beat the location, walk right into a huge, CLEAN, gorgeous beach. There are several pools, all heated and clean. The staff at all the bars and poolside restaurants were pleasant and attentive. Some hotels are apparently under staffed due to COVID-this did not seem to be a problem here. Great drinks, great food (We’re from Chicago. We know good food). Sat at fire pit one night and met some great people. 10/10 experience. Plan to return again next year.

Honest review of the good, bad, and the in between

Reviewed 24 october, 2021

I took my 3 teenage boys away for a few days to the Omni over their fall break. I researched where to go and where to stay and narrowed it down to HHI and a handful of hotels. I chose the Omni randomly (and because they have a large heated pool since we went in October) . I am SO glad I chose the Omni. We purchased the family package which gives you 2 hour bike rental for 4, a kite, smores kit, and $100 food credit. It was good choice. Pros: 1) Location - right on the beach and on a secluded part of the island (very peaceful) 2) Amenities - Awesome! 3 nice pools, 3 hot tubs, 2 outside pool deck restaurants, cafe, main restaurant, ping pong (we played for hours), life size chess and checkers (so fun), 2 sets of bean bag toss, 2 LARGE Connect Four games, 3 fire pits, several decking areas to overlook the ocean or the grounds 3) Hut to rent bikes (ride on beach or around the island) and buy kites. 4) VERY clean, and like most, I am very focused on places being clean.
