Right in the middle of it all

Just had 3 nights at Customs House Hotel. Fantastic location. Small but comfortable room, super clean bathroom, great breakfast included - 1 item from the breakfast menu & 1 drink. The barista was super friendly & made really good coffee. Plus we ordered wedges a couple of times to enjoy with drinks in the evening. Walking distance to waterfront, Salamanca, Battery Point & into the city centre! Perfect for a mini Hobart stay.

Amazing seafood dinner

Dropped in for a meal & although very busy, staff found us a table. Seafood basket and scallops were so fresh & tender. Fab meal! Great service. Lovely end to first day of Hobart stay. We’ll be back. Dessert looks good too. Really enjoyed our experience. Thanks! 😊

Good position but lacking in some areas

Reviewed 12 february, 2023

We stayed one night here. It was convenient to Salamanca Market and the waterfront. Bed was comfortable and shower hot and clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful. My dietery requirements were attended to without any fuss. The down side of our room was an issue with the lack of ventilation. There was no air conditioner or ceiling fan. We had a window that opened, but it lacked a fly screen which meant on the warm evening we were left with the decision of whether to perspire or battle the insects.

Pre cruise stay

From the first phone call to advise of late arrival, to check in breakfasts and leaving luggage for later collection, our stay was without any problems or glitches. The room was spacious and well appointed while maintaining the history of the establishment. Close walk to wharves, Salamanca Place and the CBD, would highly recommend and we would re-book without hesitation!

Convenient.

Comfortable, convenient and value for money. Beautifully restored old pub. Close to everything. Breakfast was superb, staff were helpful. We had the quadruple room with 4 of us, it was huge, nice and cool on Hobart's 30 deg day, air conditioning was hardly needed but appreciated. Double walls and windows keeps the road noise putt. Sunday night was quiet, but Saturday night there was the thump of night club music (from a surrounding venue) until around 1 am. But.......you are in the heart of Hobart Town.
