Lovely well located hotel

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was Avery convenient location and good to have parking. The room was clean and had a big bathroom and a kitchenette. There was no stove or oven in the kitchenette, just a microwave. The kids found the sofa bed a bit uncomfortable, so they put the mattress on the floor and it was fine. The buffet breakfast was good. The service was good, but the only issue was that we were 4 people in the room and they’d only given us towels for 3. I asked for another one and it was immediately delivered, but when they serviced the room the next day it went down to 3 again? Also, there was a washer/dryer combo in the room, but the dryer part didn’t work. We had it on for 6 hours drying, and in the end I spread the clothes out around the room to air dry - such a waste of electricity! This hotel was in a very cool quirky building, which looked like a brand new building had been built around a heritage listed one. I’d definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed 5 nights over Christmas, best surprise was an upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite. Perfectly located within minutes of everything. Front of house staff were very accommodating and friendly. Would happily stay here again

Disappointing dining experience.

Great location, handy to everything. Excellent, large rooms. Great breakfast and a great Bar that features a daily Happy Hour. I was terribly disappointed with an organised dinner that we had while staying there. We had booked well in advance and had advised the Hotel that there would be fifteen of us dining on the Friday night of our stay, when we came to order, we were advised that almost all of the available selections for Entree weren’t available and unfortunately, these were all seafood options, a selection that people visiting Tasmania look forward to sampling, also, when selecting Mains, some of those selections were also unavailable. The food was enjoyable, but the experience less than satisfactory when Menu selections were not available and this being compounded by the fact that our Booking had been made weeks in advance, in short, not impressed, I think our unpleasant experience was made all the worse by the fact that there was insufficient staff to cater for the number of diners on the night, staffing was a definite issue, possibly due to Covid issues, but our pre booking should have ensured sufficient staff available. I’d certainly recommend the RACV club, but I was not happy with the dining fiasco.

I was travelling for business and could not fault the service nor attention to detail. Walking distance to many of Hobart's must see spots. The staff were the standout so obliging, helpful and professional.

Absolutely top class. Central location, friendly very helpful reception. We had great views over Mt Wellington from a spacious spotlessly clean room. Magnificent bathroom with walk-in shower, extra comfy bed and top TV (including Foxtel). Top facilities with everything at hand (including a safe). One of the best hotels we've stayed in and a great breakfast overlooking the morning traffic and passers by. Thoroughly recommend.
