Customer service at it’s best
My husband and I are having an amazing night away at the W. The services has been top notch. Every detail and request has been tended to, from our online requests to onsite support with a room upgrade and a minor issue in our room. The view is unreal. Exactly what we needed during our staycation
Always a nice stay
Came for 1 night Saturday to Sunday. Staff is very friendly & accommodating. Room was nice with a nice view of NYC. Room was very comfortable & very quiet even though we were right by the elevators. We stay every time we go to Hoboken to see our daughter & are never disappointed. the location is perfect as well!!!!
Run down hotel in great location
Disappointing and overpriced. The location is perfect at the riverfront in Hoboken. The service is friendly and helpful. The hotel itself though has seen its better days. We rented 1 bedroom suite facing Manhattan, and the hotel clearly has stopped caring. The room was clean on daily cleaning basis, but it has been a while since anyone did a deep cleaning. The furniture it itself was worn out. For this price, I would recommend this hotel. If you are looking for a hotel in Hoboken, then this has the perfect location. It is at the waterfront with a short walk to the Path and ferry. The hotel itself has seen better days. It is quickly moving to a "has been". The At this point, it does feel a bit run down. I had a suite, but the cleaning was only done superficially. The bed was clean and the bathroom was clean, but the desk had watermarks on the them. There were a couple of walls that hadn't been cleaned in the while. The view is exac
Nothing spectacular about the "Spectacular" room I got. HUGE disappointment. HUGE!
I've stayed here before and was expecting a beautiful room especially at the price point I paid. What an absolute disappointment. I reserved a "spectacular" room which is top tier room guaranteeing a spectacular view and a higher floor. This was for a 50th celebration and I advised them ahead of time. I was so disappointed when I walked into our 11th floor room with an up close and personal (you can see what's on their dinner table) view of the living spaces in the apartments next door. The view of the skyline was a partial view which wasn't what I thought I was paying $320 for. And there's no point in having a "view" of the Manhattan skyline when I have to keep my drapes closed so the people in the apartments next door aren't looking in at us. It's a pandemic, it's not like the hotel is booked out. Put people in your best rooms for their price point. The carpet was dingy and sanitize practices in the room were questionable. I also considered the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor which was a fraction of the price and I could have gotten an upgraded room for the price I paid at the W. I wish we had reserved there. Parking here is also a joke. You either pay for 10 hours or you jump to 24 hours. There's nothing in between so if you check in at 4 and leave as early as 8 am, you still have to pay for $35. for 24 hours. Absolute WASTE of money! Don't get caught up in the hype that it's the W so it'll be 5 star. It's not. Go somewhere else.

Not sure if their Covid protocols include standoffish, virus-denial behavior. You wouldn’t think there was anything unusual going on in the world at this place except they tell you when booking everything that’s closed or unavailable. I didn’t see anything special about room cleanliness, no hand sanitizer, nothing to acknowledge the fact that I could possibly be taking a risk staying at their property. If I had to describe the attitude of the front desk woman at checkin I’d say she was cold and aloof. Parking situation is horrific and not explained at booking - you’re basically on your own, paying a ridiculous rate ($35 each time you go in and out of the garage), or you take your chances on the street, and Hoboken is not car-friendly to begin with. Front desk essentially shrugged and offered no help. The only good thing was the place looked empty. They say they’re keeping occupancy down on purpose but I suspect no one Is staying here, and if that’s the case they might want to cultivate a veneer of warmth and dare I say, appreciation. Oh and their rates are absurd for what you get (basically nothing) -almost $300 a night. I won’t be back. They get 2 stars, one for a clean lobby and one for a nice view of the river. But the latter required no effort on the hotel’s part.
