Good value for money
There are lots of commercial area within its vicinity. The check in is fast and convenient. The room is compact but is typical with japanese accommodation and considering the rate it is already acceptable. The breakfast is self service but eat all you can. The staffs are friendly. Slight disadvantage is they will charge you ¥100 for the use of locker when you request to leave your luggage after check out (usually free). It's our first time to experience that but we don't mind much since it's still cheap.
An excellent deal in an excellent and convenient location...
Tremendous value for a nice hotel room with breakfast. The room seemed larger than the typical economy hotel in Japan, a bed, television, desk, small table and chair and refrigerator were included. Bathroom is the standard toilet, small sink and tub/shower. Cleaning of the room and changing of linens can be requested at a nominal fee. Rooms were clean, although my spouse would say a bit dated, and perfect for someone wanting to see the city or attend a conference during the day. Breakfast was included in my room rate for a 1 week stay for a conference and was primarily Japanese style but westerners will find breads, fruits plus tea and other items. I found staff to be professional, friendly and welcoming and willing to listen to my attempts to use Japanese; however, their English was always enough to communicate necessary information. The price of the room is a major attraction but the location of the hotel is also excellent. Just half a block north or Nakajima Park (Koen) and the entrance to the Nanboku subway line (north south), one has easy access to move around the many sites of Sapporo or to the JR line at Sapporo Station for a train to the main airport (Chitose) that is about 1 hour out of the city. A bus to the airport can also be met just around the corner from the hotel that is less than half the price of the train. Nakajima Park is a beautiful city park with a lake and a pleasant family atmosphere. Many restaurants are also found in the area including the Kirin brew house and shops to purchase forgotten items or snacks such as Lawson Station are very nearby. Wifi was free and more than sufficient for my needs. I will stay here again on my next visit to Sapporo.
Value of money
It is a small hotel and just opposite to the exit of subway, Location is excellent with about 10-min walking distance to the tourist centre of Sapporo. The staff can speak basic English and are in general helpful. We stayed in a triple room and it is spacious. The breakfast is self-service even that we can fry eggs ourselves.
unfriendly staff, others good
I would say the hotel is value for money and all good except the rude staff refused to speak English with arrogant attitude (must be the worst attitude Japanese I've ever encountered). - location is good, just 1min walk to subway station and the park. - relatively large single room with sufficient place. - strong and stable WIFI - free breakfast with sufficient food (but egg dish is self-made) - cheap price.
