From the very warm greeting by Sal through to the effective and friendly checkout by Adam ,we couldn’t have been happier .The whole stay was fabulous . We were lucky enough to be put in the bridal suite which was spacious and luxurious . We opted for the Sunday Lunch sharing platter which was both huge and delicious . The vast array of well prepared and cooked vegetables was matched with a selection of roast meats ,yorkshires and very tasty gravy - everything was spectacular ! This mornings breakfast was equally well prepared and again delicious ,I was so happy to see Omelette Arnold Bennett on the menu ,not very common at all,again this was beautifully prepared but huge ! Thank you for a fabulous stay we will be back to take advantage of your wine ,dine and duvet night !

Great Place to Stay, But...

We stayed for 3 nights and loved the accommodation. The weather was cold, rainy and windy but we found the bedroom warm and cosy. The breakfast was excellent, and the lady who served us each day was friendly and helpful. We only have one evening meal in the restaurant, and it was not a success. One of us ordered the lamb pot roast, but this was so dry and crispy that getting into it was very difficult and the taste was not good. Despite the fact that I told the server that I needed to follow a gluten free diet, my gammon steak and chips arrived with battered onion rings. When I queried whether the onion rings were really gluten free, the server assured me that the chef was very careful to ensure that every ingredient was gluten free. However, I suffered a reaction to the meal which lingered for 24 hours. I can only think that there must have been a lack of communication between the server and the chef, unless of course I was given someone else's meal in error. It's a pity, as all other aspects of our stay were top notch.

Loved our stay at the Huntsman staff couldn’t do enough for you and are very friendly. Food was very nice the only issue I had was when I ordered a box of chocolates to the room they were from Lidl and cost £2 and I got charged £15 for them! They were terrible.Put me in a bad mood straight away as I feel ripped off but still had a nice stay

The staff are lovely especially the waitress and waiters in the restaurant. The food is delicious but needs pasta on the menu then could offer small portions. The only problem we had really was both are rooms were cold at night and through the night. You need fuller pillows too.

Stayed on business trip. Food, staff & bedrooms fantastic. A very clean property with great staff. The hotel is set in a lovely location which offers a restful haven after a long drive and meeting. Worth visiting.
