Lovely place to stay

This is a lovely place to stay, immaculate. The only negative was the room we were in you had to walk up quite a few steps to get to so anyone with a disability would struggle. Breakfast was great and staff.

Excellent service in a beautiful setting

I stayed overnight at Moresby hall for a work meeting. The service was excellent and friendly. The bedroom was stunning with a large 4 poster bed, all the amenities you could need and a lovely en-suite. Breakfast was delicious and included lots of choices: fresh fruit salad, cereals, muesli, porridge, yoghurt and a range of cooked food. I would highly recommend staying in this beautiful, historic building that combines a unique setting with excellent service.

Unique and delightful stay

What a fabulous and quite unique stay! The hall is stunning and pulling up to the front almost transports you back in time! The interior is no less impressive with its seamless blend of period and more modern features. We stayed in the Copeland room which was a delight, its huge comfy bed and superb jacuzzi bath was very welcome after a long day's hiking. Such a treat to stay in a grand room with character, compared to bland modern rooms! We enjoyed a couple of very reasonably-priced drinks in the lounge later on and had a nice chat with the owners Jane & David who couldn't be more friendly and warm. Not to mention their lovely dog Maxwell! Breakfast was fresh and tasty and finished off what was an impeccable stay for us. We couldn’t recommend it more in truth, if you're looking for a stay offering history and elegance without spending fortunes, then this is it!

Held our wedding here July 2021. Had 2 overnight stays as did some of our guests. Absolutely amazing weekend, made super special by the care and attention which we received. This hotel is absolutely beautiful and elegant. Throughly enjoyed every single moment, thank you to everyone at Moresby Hall who went above and beyond

Great Hotel with very attentive owners David & Jane. Opted for Copeland Suite which benefits from huge Four Poster and Jacuzzi Bath. Room size was huge and appointed very well. Liked the size of the bed....... Need a bus journey to get round it 😁. Lovely building with emphasis on its age and style but modern enough in areas. Breakfast was lovely on our weekend stay. Overall was impressed. A list of places to eat are available and we tried three whilst there. Room was clean and wanted for nothing, slight threaded towel in bathroom which possibly needs discarding but maintenance / cleaning team would pick up on this. Nice safe parking ( choose to exit close to EV charging points as road can be hard to judge at front point) Would definitely stay again 👍🏼
