Peaceful bliss
The inn was wonderful, peaceful and tranquil. A gorgeous little gem. Eddie, the property manager, was accommodating and sweet. Had the best weekend getaway. The rooms were clean and exactly as advertised, and the place was quiet and lovely.
Amazing Stay at the Inn at Millrace Pond!
Have to say that we absolutely loved this place. We are already planning our return trip. Eddie and the staff were fantastic. We arrived late at night on Friday and our room keys and directions to our room were in the mailbox as we had been told. We spent a few minutes locating our room and in those few minutes Eddie came out and helped us find our rooms. We had rooms 2 and 12. Both rooms were great. Comfortable and very clean. The website for the Inn at Millrace pond allows you to preview your room choice and pick a room suitable to your needs. All the rooms are a little different. The property is beautiful but please remember that the buildings are extremely old, authentic, and historic. The floors creak a bit and it may not be exactly what some are used to but please don't hesitate to book a room here. The history of the Inn at Millrace Pond and the history of Hope and Blairstown is fascinating. We also enjoyed the free breakfast provided in the morning (different now with covid restrictions but still very good!) And we didnt eat at the restaurant on site because we ran out of time, but next visit we definitely will. Thanks again to the staff at the Inn at Millrace Pond. Can't wait to come back!
Great Place to stay!
I stayed at the Inn over the weekend with a friend as we were working in the area. Such a nice place! Eddie was so helpful and nice. I wish the pandemic was over so we could have eaten breakfast inside. Great place hidden in the town of Hope. Markus
Excellent Place!
I wanted to send a positive message in this time of despair. We stayed at the Inn earlier this month for a couple of days and what a great place to visit. Beautiful Inn, great staff, Tavern food was delicious and Eddie the Innkeeper was so nice! Keep up the great work!
A nice stay, but they still have work to do...
In reading reviews, I understand the Inn is under new ownership/management. My wife and I stayed there last night and found the room to be comfortable, clean and generally well appointed. I had to go find someone (difficult at times) because I could not hook up to the wifi, despite entering the information on the card on the bedside table and in the Guest book. Finally found a waitress who when I explained the problem, rolled her eyes and said that the management has not changed it in a while. She gave me the new router and password information, and it worked ok (not great - weak signal) after that. I looked at the pub's menu for dinner and was somewhat un-impressed, so we made plans to go elsewhere, but we did have a drink and snack in their very cozy pub, They had a happy hour special on mixed drinks & beer and a small assortment of apps. Pretty good. Breakfast this morning was good with what tasted like fresh scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes. Only problem is that none of it was very hot. Oh well.
