No Hot Water all night. Rude staff. Unhinged General Manager

Reviewed 22 may, 2021

I recently stayed at the Comfort Suites Vintage in Houston, TX. The room is advertised as having a two person hot tub in the suite. My husband and I had a rare evening away from the kids and thought this would be a lovely romantic escape. NOT. No hot water all night. I called the front desk three times: that night twice, and again in the morning. The front desk person said they would refund the money, then they said we booked through a third party (not true) and would communicate with them to refund it for us. I was not at the front desk when they told this to my husband. After two days I learned there had been no refund. We booked through Choice Hotels. This is not a third party... they "manage" the booking for Comfort Suites. We called the customer service number, spent 20 minutes with them and they said they couldn't help... That only the hotel could refund. So I called the hotel. The manager refused to compensate and the front desk associate decided that since we spent the night, it must have not been that big a deal. We didn’t check in till around 6pm… We salvaged the experience as best we could, but stayed only because finding a new hotel room, and shlepping our bags to who knows where would have been a hassle too. I believe that the associates were fairly used to this complaint. I believe they know it to be a problem and should remove the tub option from their list of amenities if guests can not use them. The shower too. Other items of note... the tiny pool faces the busy 249 Frontage road. Who does that? No one wants to lounge by the pool breathing exhaust fumes while drivers ogle as they pass. The pillows are the size and shape of couch pillows.. huh? The line to check in is long, the desk associate so downtrodden that it prompted me to ask if he was okay.

I am a professional truck driver and I definitely will stay here when I am in town. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Brandi is a outstanding employee she takes that extra mile to assist you. She made the stay pleasant. The other staff was outstanding too. The lady that worked Christmas morning till 300pm made sure I didn't need a thing. She got me sheets and towels I needed. Plus made hot fresh coffee for me. These two ladies really care for the clients that stay here. Thank you ladies for a fabulous stay and being the outstanding person you are. Your boss needs to give ya'll a raise if they lose ya'll they make a big mistake of their life

Perfect for the stay

We enjoyed staying here. Everything was clean and staff was very nice and helpful. We had to ask for items but we were totally ok with that. Some things were very different but was expected considering the pandemic.

Under the current circumstances of the corona this is a great hotel! Amber in the morning and Brittany in the evening are awesome! Great bed and the abundance of pillows I would definitely stay here again! Very convenient to great places!

The Good The Bad and the Ugly

Seemed like it was going to be a good hotel for the price. It was clean and nice looking when you walk in the front door followed by clean rooms. Even the breakfast was good... However during my four night stay Bed was made everyday but the room was not cleaned. Towels remained on the floor trash was not taken out and the in room coffee not replaced. Worst of all I did not have WiFI for my entire stay! would have been nice to do work from my room. Had I not booked through Price Line I would have moved to the La Quinta!
