More about the hotel
basic budget hotel network, but reliable, predictable, sufficient
this hotel has "a required minimum" for a budget hotel. I'm staying there every time I'm in Houston since 2008. it is a good option when you don't plan to spend too much on a hotel. the overall look is not luxurious. it is OK in every sense. it is clean. rooms are comfortable. every room has its own entrance & parking. everything is very basic, but it has all what you need. breakfast, internet, laundry, computer & printer, a/c. I love it for consistency of the service level.
The worst
Adam (front desk) argues about nothing & for what purpose? Bc he assumes he’s better than everyone else. No posted signage about breakfast times in room or at front desk or in breakfast room. Hallway smelled like an ashtray. Smoke detector had no batteries & was not even plugged into electricity.
Days Gone By
It is what it is really. It isn't a high end hotel. But it also isn't bottom of the barrel. It is pretty good. Internet was steady. Breakfast is ok. There is no variety to it at all so get ready for waffles and sausage and a folded egg with cheese. The room when we entered was supposed to be smoke free but it smelled like smoke. It cleared up after a day but a smoke free room shouldn't smell like smoke at all. And they do add the extra person fee so be wary of that.
Check in somewhere else
Dark parking lot, window wa so own on room when I checked in close to ten at night. Smell was horrible, bed was old, bathroom was disgusting. As a woman traveling with one child (for a Doctors appointment) I did not feel safe.
Dirty carpets, toilet, beds, and very pollutant at breakfast
I have stayed several times in Days Inn in the past but this time it was so disappointing that I will never stay again in Days Inn. The carpets were dirty, the toilet was ugly and dirty, the air conditioner just threw humid air inside the room. The plates and tools for eating at breakfast were made from expanded plastic and all that went to the garbage because of only one use. Very pollutant!!! The eggs were synthetic eggs. The bedroom was scratching my wife's body. Nothing good from this experience.
