Waiting in line 1 hour. When I wanted to change the room cus the air was terrible in the room - I had to wait again.
There is o my one person workiem there and the linę never ends. After the long flight one hour in line isn’t normal. The company is cheap, rooms with no air...humid and old ones. It looks good only from outside. I am deeply surprised that people come to this hotel.
AVOID THIS HOTEL
My nephew was transiting Houston so I got him a room so he could have a place to drop his bags while he went to get a PCR test. I asked the front desk to allow me to pay for the room. They sent me a CC Authorization form. Within hours of sending the form, multiple charges (Uber Eats, Venmo) began to show up on my AMEX card. I've been traveling in Istanbul, Turkey for the last 5 months (living in Florida) and never had any issues with this card before. I was forced to cancel my card and have a new card shipped from the USA to Turkey. Avoid this hotel, I'm convinced there is at least one bad actor who stole my credit card details and created a nightmare international travel scenario where I had to shut off my travel card and wait for a replacement.
Stayed here for shuttle
My family stayed here because we kive 2 hours from airport and my husbands flight departed at 5 am. We reserved a shuttle with josh for 3 am so i wouldn't have to wake the kids to take my husband. He arrived at front desk at 2:45am for shuttle and was told by another worker that josh didn't reserve us a spot so they couldnt take him. SO I WOKE KIDS UP TO TAKE HIM . AND WHILE WALKING DOWN HALLWAY TO FRONT DESK THE SMELL OF MARIJUANA WAS OVERWHELMING. SOOOOOO DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!
Staff great, hotel? Ugh
I booked a stay here because I drove to Houston to fly out of IAH. Let me say this, I'm losing a whole lot of faith in hotels "by Wyndham" as if it will make the hotel seem better. A bit of advice for those seeking to book a room here via a travel site. The pictures don't show the real look of the place. Do a Google street view and you'll see what I mean. First off, the door to my room did not latch to the frame. Instead it hit the wall next to the door frame. If you walk in to your room thinking that door is just going to fall closed on its own, you will look back and see it's not properly latched. Anyone can push that door open. Then, there were many gnats in my room. The parking lot was not well lit at all. The sewers in the parking lot were deep so my vehicle would hit these spots and I thought my axel would snap. Best part, the doors aren't locked at all. No need to use the key card even though there was a card reader next to the door. This place was a total fail. I wasted so much money choosing this place. Avoid at all costs!
Good In A Pinch
We missed a connecting flight and the Wyndam was close and very affordable. As mentioned it is very close to the airport and offers shuttle services. The do offer a sacked breakfast. The only complaint I have is that our non smoking room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.
