Very friendly reception, outdated rooms and bad breakfast

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel and it was not the best stay in Taiwan. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The parking was great. The rooms were outdated, cold and humid during a cold spell. There were no drawers or shelves in the wardrobe. The toilet pot was leaking. The breakfast had no variety in 5 days and the instant coffee was horrible.

Had a great stay at the Byeyer Hotel. Room was really luxurious, comfortable, clean and stylish. Excellent service throughout. The best part was when I was checking out, I had dropped TWD$2,000 (US$70) in the lobby and left. A hotel staff, Fay, found my number and called to make sure it was returned. Truly remarkable. Would highly recommend.

We checked in without a reservation at about 5.30pm after having to leave an unsuitable hotel. This was an oasis - sparkling clean, helpful staff, great location. We were given a family room & it was huge. Two very big double beds & a very big bathroom with a ledge you could sit on in the shower. The location was perfect - half way between the railway station (still too far to walk with suitcases but the hotel called us a taxi) & the night market - that was an easy walk. Breakfast was great for us - with Western choices as well as Chinese. Overall I'd definitely recommend it.

Rejuvenation After Taroko Hiking

The Byeyer Hotel in Hualien City was a lovely place to stay while exploring the Taroko area two days/ three nights.The hotel room was stylish (I loved the layout), spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. It was a peaceful place to return to after each active day in the mountains. The staff were very nice and helped us to rent a scooter for our adventures. The buffet for breakfast was delicious and the dining area staff were very sweet. The hotel is located in a convenient part of Hualien that allowed us to explore the area by foot. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to fellow travelers.

Decent hotel, pretty well located half way between the train station and the nightmarket, which given Hualien's limited public transport was why I chose the hotel. The highlight of the room was the rainfall shower which was outstanding and the bathroom generally was far above the level which I expected. Rest of the room was decently appointed and that extra level comfort which made it worth the money. Breakfast was ok, and the check in experience could have been improved as it was a little impersonal.
