Lovely hotel, staff very obliging nothing too much trouble, very welcoming. Lovely English breakfast with various cereals and fruit. If going to visit West Bay in Dorset that’s the hotel to stay. The garden is quite different and inviting. Looking forward to our next trip.

Had a wonderful two night stay with friends at the beginning of December to coincide with the Symondsbury Christmas market. Perfect location and we all received a friendly welcome on check in. We ate in the gorgeous restaurant on the first night and the menu is amazing. We had a celiac in our group and the menu choice was the best she'd ever experienced. She was excited about the choice of puddings she could eat! All the dishes we had tasted lovely and served by friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are smallish, boutique style but fitted with every comfort and personal touches. Exceptionally clean and welcoming. We will definitely be returning and thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here, comfortable beds, good sized and warm room. Dinner on the first night was wholesome British style food, breakfasts were also tasty with good choices, but I was disappointed with the wonderful sounding bubble and squeak (insipid cabbage) with crispy (hard) bacon. What really makes the mark here is the really lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Great to be able to park there too.

Great place for visiting the coast

Looking for a place near the coast and out of the tourist holiday goers, this seemed to be the place. Very nice, well furnished, nice rooms and good breakfasts. Bar and restaurant were only open one of the nights we stayed. Did not eat at the restaurant as a result. Room was good sized. Very strong and fast wifi. The owners do a really nice job keeping things nice. A little pricey though, but was worth it. It was a great base for us to visit the south coast. High street and the shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. Nice sized car park

We decided to visit the newly opened restaurant at The Bridge house, our table booked for a Friday evening after having seen a copy of the menu. The restaurant was filling up and we were greeted warmly by the staff and shown to our table. A very cozy and beautifully decorated room. We chose our food from a small but carefully thought out selection of starters and mains . All sounded delicious and were well priced. When the food arrived we were not disappointed, hot, tasty and nicely presented. We managed to squeeze in a dessert which again tasted lovely. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. We all had a very enjoyable time and will definitely return.
