Situated in the historic town of Inverurie, approximately 10 miles from Aberdeen, the Kintore Arms Hotel dates back to 1855 and is still an integral part of the community. It boasts a number of public areas from the old and traditional public bar with its own real coal fire to the recently refurbished Garioch Lounge. Dining at the Kintore Arms is also flexible, with a more formal approach in our Cherub's Restaurant or relax and watch the match on our large screen in the Garioch Lounge. We had a credit for this hotel so booked 2 nights bed and breakfast. Our room was a double and it was fine and comfortable. We were in room 25 and there was a fire door right outside our room and everytime someone entered the corridor the door slammed shut quite noisily especially late at night and early morning. Breakfast was good as we chose to have porridge and received a lovely large bowl which was really tasty. Covid protocols were very good as you have to wear your mask throughout the hotel and there was plenty of hand sanitiser in all areas. All the staff we spoke to were very pleasant and helpful.
Cosy and charming

We had a lovely stay here this weekend. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and sorted out an issue with our room in minutes. They serve a generous breakfast in a warm and cosy dining area with a fire. Our room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable - we slept like logs! Great location with swift access to local amenities and a great base for exploring Aberdeenshire. Will be back!
Good value for money - but don't expect luxury

This is what used to be called a commercial hotel and so needs to be considered on that basis. At the time we visited the COVID restrictions were pretty strict. The bar was closed, drinks could not be served in the dining room even if eating and the dining room evening opening times were restricted. Taking that all into consideration things were pretty good. Dinner was pub-grub, breakfast was fine but nothing special. The staff we respecting the restrictions and trying to be as helpful as possible. If you just want a bed for the night, then you are as well here as anywhere.
Go anywhere else!!!!

Paper thin walls, hear everything through the walls, bloody idiots in next room worked night shift, but went out leaving noisy bathroom fan running all night, no sleep! Came back to their room at 04:30 banging and clattering on and talking and laughing loudly for the next hour, food is mediocre at best, would not recommend this hotel and will definitely not be returning! Stay anywhere else!!!

Myself and 6 friends went for our regular monthly meal at Kintore arms food is normally first class but last night the food was awful. My friends burger was inedible my chicken and mushroom pie was definitely not homemade it reminded me on a bakery pie and the lamb shanks were not good either no vegetables with shank until we asked. The sticky toffee pudding was definitely not homemade. Certainly not what we are use to from this hotel and after spending over £150 very disappointing we won’t be going back for our monthly meals. I must say that the staff were fantastic very friendly
