after you make a booking, he calls you that there are no more places and after two days he takes the money from your account, you never see the money back,I talked to them and they always put me off, be safe

My room was not properly cleaned and place was filthy. Advised as a premium room on. It had a garden table and dated and damaged furniture. Build up, cobwebs and mold every where. I refused to check-in and they refused to refund. The bar floor is stinking and so is the result of the house. Chef was stinking with no hat. Staff did not speak much english. I have reported the place to the environmental health department. You can see dead insects on the window sills. Staff do not have clean clothes on. Chemicals were kept on the floor not locked away. It was behind a badly painted yellow piano which is used as a desk. The do food which on justeat, however the chef went to the toilet and definitely didn't wash his hand because the sink was dry after I went in after him and his black uniform was stinking. They do not follow any regulations. Avoid this place at all cost. Read the other reviews. It says that owner is a con artist. I would agree. They are not paying vat and could not give a vat receipt and the owner has another restaurant apparently. They are not vat registered? I will be giving inland revenue a ring as well as trading standards and the EHO.

Worst place on the planet ! Sunny the owner is a scammer and the hotel is full of mold and bed bugs There was no internet and there was noise every day until evening Keep away !!! There is also every day at back of the hotel group of gypsies cooking outside Watch your stuff

Dreadful experience, avoid. Booked last minute due to being booked to play a wedding in the Ipswich area. Booked through airbnb, owners rang me up to say they don't work with Airbnb anymore. Said they would honour the booking, refund me on airbnb and I would have to pay again in person. Well, we turned up, paid a second time, and stayed the night. Guess what - no refund. Owners have been extremely unhelpful throughout this entire process, blocking my calls, pretending to not know who I am, pretending they didn't know what booking I meant. Multiple reassurances that 'yeah yeah I'll sort it tomorrow', which obviously panned out to nothing. It's now nearly a month since the booking and I have chased the owners every few days to no avail. It's not even about the money at this point, I just hate dealing with dishonest, scummy people who say one thing and mean another. They wasted my time and money so I'm going to waste theirs. It's a total con job - surprised they get any business at all. Fully agree with the top review, wish I'd seen it before I booked here. These guys will take your money and run, laughing at you all the way to the bank. If you like paying to be disrepected and conned at every turn, by all means book here. But if you value any sort of decency and transparency, you'll be better off literally anywhere else.

The Travellers Choice Ipswich are thieving unscrupulous con artists, DO NOT STAY HERE, They charged me twice as apparently their system was down on arrival and they had no proof even though the email confirmation was provided to them and, a call placed the next day to confirm payment. This was back in October 2021, and yet I have still not received my money back (Feb 22). The “hotel” Manager agrees there was an error on their part, yet despite me chasing frequently has not refunded £259.00, owed to me. I would have given this a ZERO but that wasn't an option. STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN PERIL, you’ll be fraudulently charged twice. Booking.com - have disappointed me, as they have left it to the hotel to resolve...
