Beautiful location- that and the staff made this trip a lovely experience. Stayed for a week - vivid restrictions applying which affected room servicing but everything we requested was organised swiftly and with a smile. Reception staff went put of their way to ensure we were updated on island events and excursions. Restaurant food was excellent quality and service and I felt reasonably priced for the location

The location is the best you can chose in st Martin’s and you can reach the all other islands very easy . I recommend 3-5 days stay to be able to see all islands . The beauty of islands and sea are so beautiful that you won’t believe it’s in uk and I will definitely recommend it .

We got boat from St Marys and stopped for coffee on landing. Sat outside, views are gorgeous across to other islands. Went into Hotel ( no outside service, went to bar to order) and ordered drinks for a morning coffee break before walk round island and a swim. The coffee came as half a cup and yuk tasting. They forget milk and sugar and table service rushed and uninterested. The ordering inside became busy so never got a chance to complain directly.

We were regular vistor’s to this hotel and last came 15 years ago with our young children, a brilliant place to escape to. A 3*/4* hotel earning a 5* status. It is now part of the Karma Group, and we thought in pandemic world, that it would be good to give it another try without children. This review is meant for the management, as it is too good an opportunity to get so badly wrong. I have been an infrequent contributor to Tripadvisor over many years and I have never written a response like this. My final bill came to £2,468.50 of which £2,308.80 was for the room (£577.20/night B&B). It wasn’t worth half of this despite the location. Apart from dinner on the first evening (food great, setting, ambiance and service appalling), , everything else that we spent on St Martins went into the local economy, cafes, pubs and restaurants run by local families who really cared about what they did as their lives depended on it. My recommendation… The Scilly Isles are a wonderful place to visit, a brilliant opportunity to enjoy something that is genuinely special. I hope that Karma St Martins rises to the challenge, but until significant changes are made and an effective captain returns to the bridge, I would strongly advise that you give it a miss. A sense of pride in a brand, not just the hotel, is essential, and the welcome ‘Karma’ flag on the jetty said it all, flapping for attention, badly stained and unloved.

We stayed in the Ocean view room and had a lovely view of the islands across. The staff were helpful throughout the stay especially restaurant and reception. Although there are covid restrictions the hotel is doing a great job of trying to normalize your stay. The restaurant food was great throughout our stay, that includes breakfast and dinner with fantastic daily seafood specials. We used the garden area daily for afternoon teas and sunset drinks. My daughter loved the games at the garden and surrounding areas are excellent too. The beach is lovely although winds and weather were not the best during our stay. St. Martins is such a beautiful paradise and Karma is the best place to stay. We have already booked our next visit in September and we can't wait.
