Good or bad depends on what you want
Pros and Cons.... Very very convenient for the people who's vacation in Istanbul. Majority of the tourist attractions are walking distance or easy tram ride away. Tram station also very near. Small Bazar is around corner, abandoned options of shops and restaurant in very close by. Blu Mosque and Aya Sofia are few min by walk. Can't expect more than this for the location. this hotel has elevator. That's the really big plus. Room was very very tiny. We stayed triple room (myself, husband and adult daughter) There were basically no place to put anything. Small closet with only 4 wire hunger was the only place to put all of our clothing. No drawer. There were literally no enough space to put suitcase open. But that's quite understandable to any european hotel for this price range. Wifi is free, but very slow. Lucky if you can get web page. Breakfast was not much to say. Since with COVID, I believe the breakfast we got was not their normal one, so it is not fair for me to judge. However, the breakfast was very simple. Some bread, coffee, cheese, veggie, and lady cook egg for us.
Excellent Location great views
. This property is a boutique hotel, the location is prime. It is not fancy by any means but is clean. I have had the chance to see other rooms and they are quite small. We are a group of 3 so our family room is spacious and comfortable. Did I mention the view. Breakfast is included, is it ok for a city hotel breakfast. The front desk people could be more friendly but no complains either. I will definitely stay here whenever I visit Istanbul in the old city. Steps from Blue Mosque and Sultanhamed station.
Stayed here for 18 nights. The manager, Malik, is a fantastic person. He treated us with such hospitality. The hotel itself is very clean, with great rates. Nothing fancy here. A simple but adequate breakfast. The location is ideal. Just steps away from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. About a 15 minute walk to the Grand Bazaar. Our room had a view of the mosque. If I’m Istanbul again, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you, Malik! A couple of additional notes ... if you are looking for Turkish carpets, Omer at Urarti Carpets and Kilims is the man to see. Amazing selection and even better prices at this family-owned business for over 50 years. He was helpful to us in so many ways. He even showed us different parts of the Old City, and we had dinner with him and Malik twice. Also, a great place to hang out and have Turkish çai (tea) or a meal is Masala, right next door at the small bazaar. The people there are extremely friendly, and there is nightly live music and a Dervish.
Great location, good service, trustworthy manager
We spent one night at the Aristocrat during a ~20hr overnight layover between flights. We used a tour company that gave us a “good deal” to taxi us to the hotel and back to the airport as well as one night at the hotel but once we arrived we realized they charged us 30% extra for “exchange fee” despite us clarifying if that’d be included beforehand. Despite it not being his fault, Malik, the manager helped arrange that we get reimbursed the extra cost. He also gave great advice on how the see the cities site in an affordable manner and didn’t push the tours they offer. The room was clean, functional, and we could see the Blue Mosque from our window. Breakfast was tasty with coffee.
Hotel is near all touristic attractions also many restaurants nearby. Staff is polite and professional. I highly recommend this hotel. Parking is free nearby. Breakfast is open buffet with various types of dishes.
