Excellent service, super comfortable beddings
Aside from the comfortable beddings which we always look forward to in Crowne Plaza hotels, it is the excellent service at its Harbiye property that made our stay extra special. Receptionist Mert warmly welcomed us with a room upgrade and complimentary breakfast. Hassan, the chef, served our breakfast with thoughtful presentation details. N.B. Thank you for allowing us to store our suitcase while we explored other parts of Turkey.
Avoid - charged me for stay in advance incorrectly and didn't refund me
I've never experienced customer service as bad as this, which reflects badly on the hotel and IHG, who I made booking with. Booked a stay here last year using the IHG app like I've done numerous times before. As I wasn't sure if my trip in May 2020 would go ahead, I made sure I booked a rate which meant I wasn't charged in advance and could cancel free of charge. So was very surprised to see a charge for the entire stay on my credit card in February from this hotel. I flagged it to IHG and hotel immediately. Was assured the money was going to be refunded and it never was. Bear in mind this was before the pandemic truly broke so there is no excuse. It has taken me four months, a lot of phone calls, emails and stress to get my money back - through filing a claim with my credit card company. As a spire elite member I expected much better treatment than this, but no customer should be treated like this. Clearly they didn't care about my situation and I had to take extreme measures to get what I was owed. Why they didn't pay me back themselves goes beyond simple incompetence. If I ever travel to Istanbul, I certainly won't book to stay here.

We stayed a total of 3 times in the last year at the Crowne Plaza Harbiye, the first time for A Birthday and the staff made it feel very special, with a room upgrade and a birthday cake, the second and third time, the staff made us feel very welcome and always made an effort to satisfy our requests. If we need to come back to Istanbul, Crowne Plaza Harbiye is our hotel of choice.
Best hotel EVER!!! Exceptionally fantastic hotel. Best facilities and best service
Wow I am amazed with this hotel so much. I had such a good time. Location was great for me. Reception was so eager to help and even upgraded me with a smile! The lobby and restaurants are beautiful and luxurious. The room was super large and equipped with anything you can think of. The bed was extremely comfy and I slept like an angel. Soft sheets. I loved the Spa. pool, big gym and the Hamam. (The hours were convenient to 10 pm). Lady at the Spa very friendly and welcoming. Internet was at excellent speed and reliable. The hotel itself is very luxurious and very service oriented. I ate only at the hotel. The food is excellent and not pricey. It is also the best location for gay tourists. It is next to Istanbul's two best gay clubs (Love and Fabric). It is close to shopping 2 minutes by foot to Osman Bay Metro, and 5 min by taxi to a huge mall (15 TL a ride).

Crowne Plaza Istanbul - Harbiye has a good service, facilities, Rooms. the only disadvantage is the location of this Hotel 😞 at this moment is 03:30 AM, I am writing this message. this is the third night and people making to much noise outside, in this street there are a lot of garages and next to this hotel is ⛽️ gas station, so basically people are wassing cars/ troubleshooting cars/ with turkish music of course to give them the best feeling at that moment, but they don’t even thing that there is here a hotel or even local people are sleeping 😴. we are at the 10e floor with close windows we hear 👂 the music and carwash. conclusion: good hotel in a bad location, hotel owner can’t do anything of this issue.
