Looking forward to a return visit!
We stayed at the Neorion in October of 2015 and it was such a wonderfully memorable stay. I honestly don't think that the staff know the word "no". They were so kind and accommodating. A request would barely leave our lips and it was realized - and then some. There were constantly little extras offered. Our room was upgraded halfway through our stay and thus we were able to experience two rooms and two different floors. Both fabulous, spacious, clean as can be, well appointed with toiletries, Turkish delight and full mini-bar. The daily breakfast and mezze offerings were plentiful and delicious. Having a Turkish tea in the lounge area was a lovely welcome. At the end of a long day touring having a glass of wine on the roof terrace with a commanding view of the city is a cherished memory. The location is exceptional. We were able to walk everywhere, easily pick up a cab or hop on public transportation. We have stayed in many exceptional hotels but the entire Neorion experience stands out among them all. We (hope to) return to Istanbul this coming October (2021) as part of a 10th anniversary celebration trip. I researched all sorts of hotels including the "top" hotels like the Four Seasons but my mind kept wandering back to our incredible stay in 2015 and so the Neorion won out in the end. This week we booked the Deluxe Room on the top floor. We are counting down the days for our return. Until then we will wear our Neorion robes and keep hope alive that the world's situation will allow us to make this much anticipated trip.
Hotel that goes beyond expectation
We stayed here just as Covid 19 was beginning to have its effects. It is a marvellous hotel. What stood out was the consideration of the staff. We arrived early - having travelled by overnight sleeper but they kindly let us have our room straight away and even gave us breakfast. 4 days later when it was time to make our journey back by train we discovered the sleeper to Sofia was no longer running due to the virus. We would have to try and find a coach instead - the hotel very generously let us keep our room until it was time to take the midnight coach. Cannot fault them. And the room and food (breakfast and mezze) were excellent too.
Four days in Istanbul.
We travelled by train from the UK and chose this hotel as it is near the Siekeci Station.Thats where the Orient Express terminated. We arrived early in the morning after a night on the sleeper train. The staff let us take our room straight away and invited us to have breakfast. Also recommend the afternoon Messe it saves buying lunch out.
Home from home
Visited this hotel with husband and adult daughter for 3 days. Very clean and cozy room, nice view. Bathrobe, slippers, toiletries, everything you would need. Rich breakfast. Pleasant surprise was meze in the middle of the day. Every day it was different and healthy as breakfast. In the evening it was nice to spent time in the lounge with the cup of herbal tea. Many thanks to all the hotel team. Definitely we’ll be back.
Loved this place!
We give this hotel the highest rating for fine hospitality from start to finish. Zhanna and others gave us a very warm welcome. Although we arrived late, we were given some wonderful food to eat. Rooftop was a beautiful spot to drink wine and take in the sights of the city below. Our waiter on the rooftop for two evenings was Mehmet. Exceptional service! He took really good care of us, as did the other wait staff. Too bad there's so much cigarette smoke there, but we found that everywhere in Turkey. Buffet breakfast offered everything you'd want and good coffee. Most of the important sites are within easy walking distance. The room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed an on-site Turkish bath in the lower pool level. Staff arranged for a lady attendant to come in. She was very professional. Upon checkout, there was an overcharge on the bill, which was immediately corrected without an issue. We'd love to visit this hotel again!
