The worst choice to stay this hotel
I have made a huge mistake by staying 6 days without being informed about this hotel. Since I entered the hotel, the problems didn't leave me. The rooms they call economic on the lower floor do not have windows in the rooms because they stay under the ground level. The rooms are ventilated by the central air conditioning system. Room air conditioning system not working properly. I was very stuffy and had an intense smell in my room. I could not breathe for a well-priced room. The receptionist Bilal could not help me to prevent smoking or smoking hookah. Since the smokers open the doors of their rooms in order not to be drowned from the intense smoke in their rooms, the smoke is scattered in the hallway to the rooms. Due to the open door of the sounds of laughter in the room of his speech sounded much this person to my room, I could not sleep until late at night. I told the receptionist Bilal to my complaints, who is the name of the cocky, selfist and the person who thinks the boss was transferred. He cannot find a solution to the problems and he behaves as if I'm compelled to stay there, as if I'm compulsive to stay there. I couldn't even stay in a minute. I felt like I was out of jail after my stay.
The hotel is well situated on a quite neighbourhood. Streets a bit steep but you het use to them. Many shops and resteraunts close by. I recommend the fish resteraunts near by. Buses and metro aren't too far away. Hotel is clean , reception 24 hrs. Open buffet breakfast is nice but lacks daily variety. Rooms are a little cramped with only one chair. Daily cleaning is good. Don't book a basement room !! 2 elevators make life alot easier.
Bad rooms& awful services!
Our room was in the basement & it had poor air conditioning . Although the rooms aren't really nice , the breakfast buffet was good .it has various dish ! İt has easy access toetro station . Javaher mall is near to this hotel so its easy for good shopping... İf you ask me is it good hotel for your trip, isay no! İ think it doesnt have the most important thing! Good rooms . Istanbul has many better hotels so İ do not recomed you this one But for short trips its not reallyyyy bad but not good ,too...!
Helpful staff, great base and superb value for a city hotel.
I booked 2 twin rooms from 23rd - 30 October for 4 mature ladies for a week sightseeing trip in Istanbul. We arrived at 11.30 pm and were checked in quickly & politely and shown to our rooms. The rooms were exactly as requested - twin beds, non smoking and on the 4th floor. They were not huge, but no smaller than rooms I've had in hotels in other cities. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The ensuite shower room was a decent size and there were plenty towels and a selection of toiletries which were replenished during our stay as needed. Our room was tidied & cleaned daily. There was a safe in the room which was free and easy to use. There was also free Wifi which worked well with our various phones etc. Our room rate included breakfast which we ate each day. There was a good selection of different food for breakfast. Some of the dishes were not what I would normally eat but it was good to try different things and there was plenty of bread/jam/boiled eggs if you didn't like anything else. The staff were efficient and ensured the tables were cleared and any spillages were mopped up quickly. None of us spoke Turkish but we found the reception staff understood and could speak English. They were helpful and when we asked for extra supplies for our room, they provided these without any fuss. They also arranged a wake up call for us on the last day which happened as requested for both rooms. There have been some negative reviews of the hotel and views from the rooms. The hotel is located in a narrow street in a major city and as we were using the hotel as a base for sightseeing we didn't spend much time in the room and weren't disappointed by the street view. We used the local shops to buy snacks etc. and found people in the shops made big efforts to understand us and provide what we wanted. There was much hilarity and gesturing in the bakers when we visited. Their bread & cakes were delicious. The hotel was great value and exceeded my expectations. The staff were efficient, polite and couldn't have been more helpful.
