I was on a Nature Trek tour visiting the local area birdwatching, which is fantastic. This hotel was our base for 3 nights , a very functional, clean and tidy room , small as most Japanese hotel rooms are. An excellent base from which to do any activity.

Very good base for the southern cranes

This is a “business” hotel so the rooms are tiny. But they are self contained and the staff are used to dealing with on- Japanese speakers. Good basic meals - with a number of western-style dishes - and only a 15 minute drive from the Arasaki Crane centre which is where thousands of cranes overwinter. Excellent value for money - probably the best we found in Japan.

Spacious and quiet rooms

We stayed two nights in a twin room. The room was clean and rather spacious, the bathroom is small. The hotel has no onsen/public bath. No coffee in the room, but green tea available. Breakfast was varied enough, but when you come in the last half hour, some dishes remain unreplenished. The hotel has a restaurant that entertains groups of business persons and that put a stress on the kitchen. So when we wanted to order, they were reluctant to take the order and asked to order just one meal. The quality of the meal was fine. Parking is free and internet fast.

Rather unusual, non Japanese decor but quite a large room with sofa and dressing area. Quite convenient for visiting the cranes and Samurai houses.Plenty of parking and also next to rail station. Would stay again.

The check in staff are very friendly, some speak English as well. Check in was very easy, the amenity kits are located by check in. There are some quick snacks for sale as well. There is 1 elevator that services the hotel, but it’s a small hotel so that’s ok. I stayed in a double room. The bed was large enough for 2 people. The wifi is fast and free. The fridge was large enough to keep drinks in. The bathroom was larger than most business hotels. I had a business dinner at the onsite restaurant. The food was well priced, good quality and variety. The restaurant staff were very nice as well. The hotel is right next to the Shinkansen, which was really convenient.
