A place to stay in an emergency

Reviewed 1 september, 2021

The Pros: Extremely affordable MiniFridge & Microwave Washing machines Cold A/C Hot shower water Pretty nice staff Working TV with cable They allow pets The Cons: Inescapable dampness. The sheets were clean but felt perpetually damp, as did the floor. No coffee maker Broken smoke detector Peeling paint Burn holes in the bed spread (in a non-smoking room) Roaches (thankfully I only saw 2, but where there are 2...) Tiny bath towels

Yuck

Mildew smelling rooms, needles in the parking lot, blood in our bv bathtub, walls are super thin, and people selling drugs in the parking lot. Enough said. I did not feel safe at all and could not get a refund. Do not take your families here.

This place is disgusting. Drug heads hanging out outside, used needles in the parking lot, garbage everywhere. Rooms smell of mildew. TV remote wouldnt work, blood on blanket, bathroom door falling apart, floors unclean.

Stop Over - Thank God

Where do I start. It was cheap but definitely not cheery! Check in was quick and the lady at the front desk was friendly, efficient and amazing but that is where it ended. The room needs a major clean and the bathroom door is ready to fall off. I’m all good for free hanging but when I have to physically fit the door to the frame that is a whole new scenario. Upon entering the room my partner and I noticed an extremely strong aroma of weed. I felt like switching on the Marley and kicking my feet up. This did not dissipate until I emptied a full can of axe into the room (no the ladies did not come a flocking). We left for some dinner and as we arrived back the room reeked of weed once again. Used deodorant to eradicate the lingering smell. It seemed to stay away this time. My partner and I were too tired at this point so we got changed and went to bed. I must say that the bed was unbelievably comfortable, which was great. If you do book this place I recommend ear plugs as the motorway/highway is terribly noisy. Made even worse by the fatal accident that occurred just down the road, you sure can hear those fire trucks coming (emergency service response times were incredibly quick - well done Jackson). So my partner and I literally watched tv until early hours of the morning when it was quieter and we managed to fall asleep. The air conditioning unit was powerful which helped in this heat. In the morning, we had to get up early to continue our mammoth cross country trek. My partner volunteered to shower first but within seconds I was woken further by screams of displeasure. I walked to her aid and was quickly pointed in the direction of pubic hairs which adorned the bathroom walls (One questions how they got up there). Now I could go on and on but I won’t. This Motel 6 could definitely be cheap and cheerful if they just paid a bit more attention to the finer details. Now the area does not feel incredibly safe but they do have a security guard on location but I wouldn’t go wandering. Clean the rooms more and do not just check eye line level. Maybe have some air freshener in the room.

Glad it was only one night

No real amenities, the wash clothes were hard as sand paper. The outside was dirty. But the front desk people were nice. No coffer or tea for 100.00 I thought we would get a little more. I didn't find a an Ice machine but they do have microwaves and fridges in the room.
