We didn't get to stay, but...
I initially had a big miscommunication with the hotel due to having a go between explain my situation. The general manager called today and we talked, discovering what had happened wasn't at all what either side had thought. He was super understanding and corrected the issue. Customer service here is obviously top notch, and while we didn't get to stay this time we have rescheduled our trip for next year and will definitely be booking again.
Excellent
I noticed there aren't any reviews during COVID so figured it would be worth letting ppl know the hotel felt clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night but were very happy with everything. Major shout out to Alex at the front desk. She was awesome and gave me my platinum status (earned the day I checked in) upgrade even though Marriott hadn't updated their system until after we checked in. Great customer service. Loved the location as well. Hand sanitizing stations everywhere, including the elevator made me feel more comfortable and I did notice on multiple occasions throughout the day staff cleaning and wiping down high touch surfaces. I would definitely stay here again.
Holiday Travels
This review is long overdue. I stayed at the Residence Inn during the holidays. Due to some unfortunate circumstances my cousin had gotten into an accident the day we were supposed to check in. She happened to call the hotel to let them know what happened and when I went to check in, they happily greeted us and was able to help us when my cousin was in the hospital. Kevin, the manager on duty, was super helpful from the time of check in, to when my cousin was released from the hospital, to accommodating the needs of our cousin and allowing us to switch rooms and extend our stay!!! This place has been amazing, but only was I impressed with such great customer service...the room was nice, breakfast was delicious every morning and gym facilities were nice and clean! The location was awesome too...walking distance to the subway and a lot of restaurants!
Little trip
We were really happy on this hotel, brand new, impecable, the best part was the breakfast personnel congrats to them. Useful and kind. Great customer service! The only problem there was utensils, disposable, not so eco friendly. Room extra clean, front desk staff just average. I would return. Carlos and family
Best hotel in Jersey City!
I’ve stayed at the Residence Inn twice now in the last 3 months. The hotel is beautiful, clean and the staff is so warm, friendly and helpful. The team at the front desk, the housekeeping team members who brought me extra towels - all wonderful! The hotel is close to local restaurants (Newark Ave) and the PATH if you want to go to NYC. I travel a lot for business and I’m very particular where I stay for personal trips. This is the only hotel I will stay in when visiting family in Jersey City. You should check it out. Thanks to all the Residence Inn staff and management for bringing your best to work every day.
