Very Accommodating in the Face of Adversity
We visited this hotel during the time just before South Africa was closed due to the coronavirus in March 2020. They moved our pre-paid reservations up a week, without question. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was outstanding. It was a safe setting from which to explore a Johannesburg suburb, as well as Johannesburg itself.
RECOMMENDED IMPROVENTS
the garden court location is very convenient. the hotel must now look at replacing carpets with tiles which are user-friendly healthy-wise. the timing of cleaning must not inconvenience clients who might want to take a longer rest. maybe the hotel can improve on TV channels

Great experience, warm friendly staff and excellent service. Value for money and the best breakfast in town. Clean rooms and very efficient service from all areas of the hotel. Highly recommended, and we look forward to our next stay.
Holiday Inn - Garden Court Sandton
Bathroom extractor fans need to work. The bathroom sink drain stinks with bacteria. There isn't sufficient lighting close to the mirrors in the rooms. The windows do not close properly, allowing noise to come in. The room type that was booked, well in advance, was not initially available even with a late check in.
Good value for money
The hotel is good for the price they offered. The rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. The staf is friendly. They may improve the service of drinks ect in the garden though, since I always had to go inside to find someone to ask. But this is just a minor thing and mostly a thing that would improve thier sales. Overall very satisfied with this hotel for this price on this location.
