Very unexpected the rooms were not clean and had dust and rotches in the bed vanilla stains on the skirts of the beds and I’m not talking about ice cream customer service was very bad and terrible I had to wait outside for two hours after I pay for a room $40 ahead of time early check-in I got a new room a week later in the same building that was even more disgusting than the first one I clean them myself and I continuously spend money there and I did not get any conversation I’ll talk to many of people from corporate and other places and they still have not responded to me at allVery unacceptable for extended stay I would not recommend for anyone to stay here it needs a very bad upgrading I will show you the pictures and the videos but it’s not letting me upload 550 105 th st Overland Park

This place is nothing like what is advertised on their website - they don't clean your room or dump the trash you have to do it all yourself. If you want clean towels you have to take your dirty ones to the front desk & they will give you clean ones. The room smelled awful & they did nothing about it. The front desk employees are rude & unprofessional.
DO NOT STAY AT ANY EXTENDED STAY HOTELS!!

I have yet to have a positive experience at Extended Stay hotels. In fact, I emailed my boss this week to tell her if I am booked into another Extended Stay I will refuse to stay there. I called ahead to ask for dishes and cooking items. When I got to the hotel. they were not ready. I was promised they would be ready the next day. I made a list and dropped it at the front desk, there was no one working the front desk. When I got back to the hotel from work I stopped at the front desk to get my supplies...the clerk had no idea what I was talking about. The lobby and halls reek of cigarette and other smoke smells. The outside of the fridge was filthy, There was a dirty towel and wash cloth on the shower curtain, the shower "mat" was a hand towel. I had to clean the microwave turntable before I could use it, the Wi-Fi was basically useless. If I turned the TV on it's pedestal, it would shut off. The carpet was deeply stained and dirty. I got basically 2 throw pillows on the bed. I could go on, but you get the point. Sonesta Suites is a much better place to stay! Stay at an Extended Stay at your own risk.

When I arrived and was given my room key I went to the room and it was so filthy dirty!! I went back to the front desk and asked if I could have a clean room. She showed me seven different rooms before I agreed to stay in the least filthy. I went out and bought my own sheets and blanket because the bed was so filthy. There are homeless people living in the hallways at night and propping the back door open so they can come and go. The kitchens have been totally stripped there are no plates bowls coffee makers silverware toasters Etc and you have to go to the front desk and ask for something. I would like to be reimbursed in some way for staying at a place that is nothing at all like you described on your website. The lady at the front desk said the hotel is Under New Management!?! I don't see any management going on here! Jan MacDonald.
Lobby Smelled of Smoke/Car Attempted Break-In

Cluster circus when I arrived to cigarette smoke filled lobby. Front desk person promised early check in when I called earlier in the morning as I had long morning of traveling. Upon arrival, the front desk person greeted me cordially. I told him I called earlier and requested early check in and he said yes you spoke with me. Then he told me early check-in could not be honored due to him upgrading his computer system. He said we might get you in at 3:00pm, not sure yet. I arrived at 1pm, even though I called at 7am requesting early check-in promising me your room will be ready when you get here, me telling him It would take me several hours to get there projecting my time of arrival at 12 noon something). He said great see you then. His attitude became abusive and his face turned very red when I asked why he told me early check in and not honor it and he said just leave and come back at 3pm...basically just suggesting I drive around the city to kill time waiting. He did not offer to wait in the hotel as I don’t think there’s any place to wait in the hotel as the lobby is so small. I would not have anyway due to the cigarette smoke. The maintenance men looked at me, without me engaging with them, and said “it is true ma’am, the system is down”. Like when do maintenance men work the check in desk? I did not raise my voice and simply was trying to do business with this front desk person. I left the premises then decided I would drive right back there and see if I could remedy the situation by canceling my reservation and he got even more abusive, telling me I was abusive, me reminding him I am trying to accomplish a business transaction and nothing personal. This made him more abusive, and his face redder, so I walked out saying nothing deciding to make arrangements elsewhere. Then, I got out to the parking lot my car had been attempted to be broken into breaking the car latch and I had to hold onto the door while driving away and found a shop to repair it having to pay for that and having to pay for a loaner car. As a solo traveler, I did not feel safe. Felt I could have been ganged up on in the lobby. I would not have felt safe staying in the hotel with that attitude and cigarette smell, not to mention the money now having to spend for repairs/rental car. Eventually, I was able to get the reservation cancelled.
