CLOSED!! Booked for a family road trip and pull up today (May 28) with boarded up windows, a closed sign on the door and the phone is disconnected. I booked almost a year ago. There was no notice given. I had to scramble to find an alternative. This is not what I expect from Hilton.
WARNING! This hotel is closed!

I arrived May 7th, 2021 for my weekend stay nd was shocked to find this hotel closed. I made reservations months in advance and never received any notification that it was closed. There were two other couples traveling with us and they didn't receive any notification either. I had to call Hilton and tell them. It was a rough start to our weekend. I'm sure this is happening to others but wanted to share my experience because there is nothing on the hotel website about the closure.
We had a terrific visit. The management was very acccomodating and friendly.

Our first room did not work out because we did not like the view and set up. So they gave us another room but his time the heater was not working. So they gave us another room. The manager Darryl was very accommodating and gave us a better room where everything worked. Darryl was terrific and would like to see more managers like him when I visit other cities.

Hampton was clean, hospitable, and in great downtown location. Close to Arabia Steamship Museum. Would stay there again if we go to Kansas City. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Area has many restaurants fairly close. Most are closed on Sunday.
A decent Hampton.

I spent a Friday night and a Saturday night at this Hampton Inn over a weekend in October 2020. I didn't spend a ton of time at the hotel, but my room was nice and I slept well both nights. I didn't really partake of any of the amenities, including breakfast... but a big part of that is because I was traveling during the COVID pandemic. Overall, I appreciated having a clean and comfortable room. I also appreciated the free parking across the street. :)
