Arrived late afternoon and rode shuttle with friendly airport crew. Settled into our room, clean, large, updated and quiet with great view! We headed for the on site restaurant starving. The menu is listed for download in each room. Excellent waitstaff and our meals were healthy and tasty! Decided to skip dinner and took dessert and drinks to go. Very reasonably priced too! We avoided the Saturday night crowd. Our room was spacious, well lit for reading or relaxing anywhere. We did hear a strange noise and it’s the small refrigerator compressor. Turn on music, TV or use white noise app on your iPhone. Downside- the water leaked in Onto floor while I showered ( fabulous) and had to be mopped up. Toilet was a bit slow, no big deal. Arrived for breakfast and ordered off the menu- frittata and croissant sandwich, both very good. Buffet is $12. Easy bus ride to airport for our flight. Great stay, we will be back!
Noisy airline crew, rude staff, unmasked during Covid resurgence

At the airport, after 11pm, I call for the hotel shuttle. It arrives, driver unmasked, packed, with passengers also unmasked. Kansas City is a hotbed of Covid Delta variant. I keep mask on. At the hotel no one is masked, not even the staff. In my $200 room, not a single bottle of water. I call the front desk, tell them I am a Bonvoy Club member, and they say I have to be a "Titanium level" member to get free water—for me it’s $2.50 per tiny bottle. The food is in the bar—a far-too-brightly lit, raucously noisy area, and not a single person is masked. I order a chicken quesadilla and a lemonade (about a half cup of liquid on ice): $21. It's so greasy, it makes me feel sick. I make tea instead, and refill my lemonade glass with tap water. Now it's 12:30am and I want to watch half an hour of Seinfeld to relax—but the TV remote doesn't work. Every time I hit "OK," it goes off. I call the front desk and they say they'll call maintenance. I'm no longer dressed, and they want to send a man to my room. I say, never mind, I want a discount on this room. I am put on hold abruptly, no, "Let me transfer you" or anything like that. A woman with a voice like Dr. Laura Schlessinger comes on and says she'll give me membership points. She asks if that will be satisfactory. No mention of how many points, so how would I know if it's satisfactory? No, I say, I want a 20% discount. She offers 10% and I say fine—that AND the points. She agrees. I can't wait to get out of here!
Long night and little sleep.

My wife booked the room and it was clean and comfortable. Restaurant was very loud! But had some tasty food. Took forever to get the room cool and there was a weird noise from outside that kept us up. I didn’t here the jets but the other noise I did. We dropped our daughter off for her flight and went straight home to bed. We stayed so I didn’t have to be up all night for my daughters flight at 4 am.
Hot rooms, unable to cool

This hotel is very close to the airport, so great location if that's what you're needing. But be prepared for a limited service hotel with a number of shortcomings. On my most recent stay, the room was hot (76) and I was unable to either open a window or get the A/C on. A call to "At Your Service" at 11:00 PM yielded a return call a few minutes later, informing me there had been a maintenance issue and the room would start cooling immediately. Didn't happen. Slept on top of the covers because it was so hot and the next morning, the temp hadn't moved. No lounge on the weekend (not sure if they have one) but went to breakfast. Ordered food and they delivered in a to-go container and handed me a bottle of water. Generous portion but eating from a box with a bottle of water wasn't the most luxurious experience. Would likely stay elsewhere in the future, as this hotel struggles.

With nothing close by you’re at their mercy for food and drinks. Very expensive with small portions and mediocre meals. Even the WiFi was a fee. Rooms are old and worn The only positive I can say is the woman who serves breakfast is very friendly and helpful.
